As of writing this post, my character has been Immobilized, unable to bleed out or give up, under the ocean at the edge of the map for about a week straight. A friend is not able to come revive me, as I am too far out that they die before even getting halfway to me.
This started by me and a group of friends attempting to kill the Spriggan arena boss required for the Threat of Life quest in Edengrove. I died in the middle of the fight before we eventually failed the arena. Since then, my character had a bug where whenever I would die, I would become immobolized and the only way for me to get back up was to be revived by another player. This made playing the game horrible. I stopped playing Outpost Rush because if I ever died, people would just camp my body and I would have to sit immobilized for the rest of the game.
On (approx) 30/10/2021 I opened a live chat regarding the issue. I was told by the customer service rep that they had put in a ticket to the devs to have this issue fixed for and to wat 24-72 hours to be contacted. I was never contacted by anybody regarding this issue.
On 2/11/2021 I contacted live chat again. The customer service rep at the time could see I had put in a ticket regarding the issue before, and seemed genuinely surprised I had not been contacted about it and tried his best to help me and speed up the process. He had me send log files and more details about the situation.
On 6/11/2021 I had still heard nothing regarding fixing the issue. I contacted live chat support again asking for them to just move my character to a town so someone can revive me as I had read they had done this for someone else. They told me they were unable to do this and to wait for help from the devs in response to my ticket.
On 7/11/2021 I contacted live chat support again just to try my chances. The dev suggested some new ways to try fix the issue including uninstalling/reinstalling, repairing easy anti-cheat, deleting and restoring my character. None of which helped.
On 9/11/2021 I received a response to my ticket. Here it is After receiving this, I contacted live chat support again. Essentially their response was “you have to wait until this is fixed in an upcoming patch”. They could not tell my why a dev would not move my character. They could not tell me if the fix was being worked on for the next patch. They could not tell me anything at all regarding when I might expect my character to be playable again.
Today 10/11/2021 I read on the forums “our current focus is the Public Test Realm which serves to support our next big update. If we make a patch this week, you’ll find an announcement in the Official News section of our forums. Otherwise, stay tuned for our next update!”
So as of right now, my character has been unplayable for almost a week. Devs will not help me. The only fix is to wait for the bug to be addressed in an upcoming patch. Potentially no patch this week at all. Which means I’m possibly looking at another full week where my character is unplayable.
I love this game and really want to keep playing. The only thing keeping me attached is the fact I have a group of friends playing as well. The fact this bug exists is not that big of a deal. The fact support/devs will not help and it seems to be a low priority fix would have driven me away from this game permanently about 4 days ago.
