My friend bought gold and is now ahead of all of us, what will AGS do about RMT?

This is the saddest post I have ever seen. You just reported your friends. WTF
BTW they are not going to do much to good sellers at the moment. Right now they are driving the economy and keeping the market going. Without them most of these servers fail economically.

This dude kept on changing his forum name and trolling the whole forum

To get to the topic of hard against rmt and trading in that way:

There is 2 points every gamer should be aware of…

  1. Trading of this sort is only an issue if it’s not controlled and it’s abused with no limits. Otherwise is healthy for the game.
  2. If you play 2-3 hours a day because you have long day working hours in the office taking care of much more important matters than just sits on your butt and play games that directly means you will never be able to play the game for more than just picking up pieces of leftovers that others left for you. In that regard hardcore no-life gamers will take over the game in all matters - they will take over the economy, they will take over the ruling, they will eventually get in a position to dictate market manipulations.

I do not want to harm anyone, but most no-life gamers are that type of try-hard’s that they will exploit every opportunity to make more coin. Otherwise they are bored. That thrive will destroy economy unless there is a different way to make sure no-lifers will not absorb as much as they farm, and people who don’t have much time to play - can actually make up for that and somewhat play the game.

Have any of you played a game where no trading is possible? How many of them are played by casuals? Talking about MMO’s tho, not single player games. The answer is none. You know why? Because hardcore gamers devalue everything and they are the only ones earning in-game currency, because the time they spent is so much more than the majority that eventually makes any farming done by a casual player meaningless/pointless because it has no value anymore. If there is a game out there that has that - no rmt, no way to trade in that way, no limit what and how long you farm it - it’s probably played by 200 people total and they are all hardcore competing with who will get the hardcore player crown of the year.

Welcome to MMOs. I made voidbent, and I barely use it.

This it the saddest post i have ever seen. I cant belive how many players defend coin selling.

You gonna report your homies to the police for speeding next?

I am not here to defend or offend anything. It’s the simple truth of the impact. It’s not all negative. Would you imagine a world where the tryharders rule everything? Look outside in the real world and the multi-billion corporations consuming every year even big companies and now they are all slaves to the greed of the corporations. Where is the competitiveness in the stock market? Is it there? Yes there is but just for some. Starting a small business is easy? Not it’s freaking hard. Why is that? Because the corporations and big companies dictate everything. If you do not obey on their guidelines you can’t do business at all. You can’t compete with them on production costs, products prices… you just can’t. Because they manipulate everything they are in touch to serve for their gains.

Its not the fact that u reported them (which imo is still a shit move to a real friend) but that u did it silently, thats 2x cowardly!!! At least have the decency to tell them in the face, guy what u did is BS i love the game and u destroy the fun playing it with u guys! But no u chose the easy and sneaky way out and backstabbing them instead.
Ppl like u are not a good example of how morality should finaly act! I hope u think about it and i mean it cus fuck the game but seing ppl acting like this makes me sick! Even if ur friends are assholes grow a pair and confront them if they are true friends they will understand.
Jeeeesus christ…

have yyou played SoT? A Game with horizontal progression, no trading, no powergaps?
Its not really an MMO, it also has no crafting, but i want to play an MMO with this philosophy and horizontal progression only!
Then i can play and RP in an MMORPG and immerse into the world, partake in events, contribute to my clan, guild or company, compete with others, socialize with others etc…
And i dont need to work of gamedesigns that are a chore to be done just to be competetive, i dont need to rat race in a treadmill, i can take my time and rather play the game instead of working it off or else fall behind, fall apart.

the biggest problem in online gaming is casuals versus hardcore, when ideally it should be a community of people helping and supporting instead of blaming and hating each other.

a real friend would do as he/she cares for your safety and integrity.
I wont have friends that betray!

They were not his “Friends”.
IF you read his other posts you’ll realize this.
He calls them friends, but they call him that guy who shows up to Happy Hour uninvited and the reason everyone leaves early.

Yeah that was my point. If you make such an MMO, it won’t survive at all. Being able to trade with people is the core for any MMO. Yes that is what i was saying - casual vs hardcore. One more reason trading is a must for an mmo, so you do whatever you like and get in-game currency and spend it on whatever you want ( but don’t want to farm it yourself ), lets say is some boring stuff but needed. Most mmo’s are destroyed mainly by hardcore players, because they push it so hard that the moment they start feeling bored they start posting random hater stuff on reddit - but let’s be realistic. The rate of hardcore gamers in the past few years has increased a lot - for some is even a full-time job. And the rate that they are forcing to progress faster and faster just so they feel that they are ahead - just the feeling is enough to keep em going… Is way faster than a developer studio can match that rate with delivering content. And that’s the problem - delivering content on time for hardcore players will kill them game for casual players. And the companies that have done that in the past - pushing updates earlier than they should based on overall progression - they kill their own game. Because the consequences are that casuals just realize they can’t play anymore since they haven’t reached a certain progression state, but an update is already there opening doors to hardcore players, when casuals haven’t even reached the ceiling on the older updates. So when the gap between hardcore vs casual gets big enough - it divides the community. However New World offers many different types of playstyle is not focusing on 1 thing for example. You can still play the game no matter what. It’s what should sandbox mmo’s be like.

AGS has the solution with 1.2 and all the gold buyers and crytard players are losing their minds over it.

It is hilarious

Ugh why did you have to revive this thread? Haven’t you said “crytard” enough?

you mean, after the 1.2 patch the auction house and trading between characters will be disabled for the usual few days ?

Yay if they get banned you now have no friends to play with!

You can gear like that in any MMO and get ahead of others it’s nothing knew. I do it in wow and final fantasy that’s what they made the auction house for. Earning gold and buying gold that’s another topic altogether buying gold is always against TOC in most games. Earning gold and buying good gear that’s awesome, BTW Voidbent is not even close to the best gear. You tailor your gear around your build and that is the best gear.

can we have your steam id ? so everyone know you are a F snitch

if my Real friends my brothers from another mothers the one ill get a bullet for them walked the hell street ill go with them they thought you are there friend but nah kid your not and if you think you will survive in real life by the way you just acted heh your road will be blocked

the best BEST BEST memories you can have is with your friends you PoS Rt FoT

You do realise that your post is constantly popping to the top so no doubt they will see your post and know you’ve reported them?

Looks like you’ve lost your group of friends over a game.

I don’t condone gold buying at all but I wouldn’t jeopardise my real life friends over a game, I think you need to do some soul searching and actually ask yourself if you actually respect your friends because if it was me in your shoes I’d have explained and deterred them away from doing it again at least.

The only person now paying for your actions is you and I genuinely feel sorry for you for this.
