How about stopping this madness?

GW2 and ESO show that it is possible without raising the GS all the time.

Especially as you clearly do not have the velocity as WOW, BDO or FFXIV to bring that GS increase with content and just are stretching with grind of the current content. (And even those MMOs struggle often to be fast enough with new content)

Instead you could add grind via skins and also concentrate on people creating their own content via sandbox features.

Faction flagged camps can be dismantled… This would / could create such a new dynamic play in open world PvP.

Hello @Shadow_Fox , first of all sorry for my English, I am French.

Having made more than ten mmo in 20 years, I think I have a little experience of playing on mmo

In view of the updates of your teams, the game seems to have chosen the park theme side a bit like world of warcraft. This is a shame because you have an attraction that the game uses very little which is the 3 faction system. As it stands, the game does not use this feature which sets you apart from the latest mmo releases.

So, Shadowfox, you are asking what we would like at the end of the game. I think, without going too far, that it is important for you to use this strength of the 3 factions. This can result in an open area with mandatory pvp with three fortresses for example and for each fortress capture this would have an impact on the world. For example reduced travel costs for the faction, increased luck etc. Of course, it will be necessary to balance the rotation to avoid that the fortresses are permanently captured. Nevertheless, it would be possible to add pve guards (to encourage pve players to participate and that for example with tanks serve, to tank a leader of the fortress).

In addition, it would be possible on this map to have some ā€œworld bossā€ events, which would push pve players to participate. (The rewards could be pve things). Also, like the outpost rush, there could be a utility for pve players to cut trees, mine etc. to reinforce points.

And to encourage small groups of players to play, it would be possible on this map, to put small points to control farm type, mill which would give either small advantages on this map to access the fortress. At least the small groups would feel like they were important and they would!

Finally, we need a final reward for this mode which would naturally be a ranking, ranks to grind and which could offer pvp equipment by increasing rank.

Let us INFUSE the cache drops we get with Gypsum into current weapons, armour and jewelry (like Destiny 2).
That way we can keep the good rolls we have and UPGRADED them and they continue with the UMBRAL shards.

Everyone will be much happier as they don’t have to keep looking for even more rolls for items they already have.

But ESO had a massive overhaul of their game system that allows for a much more horizontal progression.

Not saying it’s impossible for NW, just wanted to put it out there.

What they need to do is create pvp gear that you earn through the faction vendor and upgrade once youve reached the final faction rep by doing pvp activities once they add some more.

This new pvp gear will be upgradedable to 625 with pvp umbral shards by doing pvp activities. This gear will be stronger thn pve gear in pvp content but weaker in pve thn pve gear.

Doing this will

  1. give the faction vendors gear worth using that can scale from being upgradable.

  2. give the pvpers a means to get gear that will benefit them in pvp instead of being forced to do mutations if they really dont want to do them to get the highest gear score items.

  3. this will prevent the people that have accumulated a ton of money from owning EF and WW for long periods of time to be able to buy their way to the best pvp gear because of the amount of money they have.

Oh and maybe add faction tokens to OPR atleast for winning because im not gonna lie it feels like shit if you do opr for hrs and you dont get any faction tokens.

Maybe add OPR faction quests such as (these can be progressive not having to be done in 1 match)

-win X amount of OPRs
-kill X amount of players
-earn X amount of assists
-deal X amount of healing
-deal X amount of damage
-contribute X amount of resources
-lock other teams score X amount of times

These are just a few quests off top of my head. If you want these can be added for atleast daily opr quests to help earn faction tokens along with earning faction tokens for winning

Forgive me if this was hard to understand im not as skilled in writing as these other people lol hopfully you get the idea i was going for.

@Shadow_Fox please get this to the team this idea to the team. Along with getting them started on setting up PTR to test out pvp arenas.

for the pvp aspect of the game… if you enter a zone that is controlled by another faction you should automatically toggle to pvp since you are not in one of your zones. i am so tired of people using the pvp toggle for the extra bonus but as soon as they get attacked run away and you cant catch them… even when they are being attacked they can still toggle off… and chatching up to them is impossible with the animations taking 1-2 secs all the time. even if you hit the guy running away he doesnt get slowed for a second or two… its like nothing happened pot up and keep running. its completely dumb. if you are flagged for pvp you should know the risks of being attacked and have to fight your eay to live. i much rather enter a zone knowingly that i could get killed and have to fight my way out of it. than running away just. doing this just to get the bonus isnt good for the game.

you shouldnt be able to toggle off at fast travel locations either… if so and you absolutely want to keep it then put a flag off at fast travel locations on a timer… cause i am fed up of running after people for miles to end up at a travel location and they turn off.

where is the reward of being pvp on if i cant chase down people and kill them. since running away is so damn easy. then you have all the benifits of being pvp on without any of the risks. makes no sense.

Put it all in a boat and sink it to the bottom of the ocean then get some pvp stuff… and not 2v2 Arenas if people wana dual they can do that now we need 10v10 15v15 on different maps with different activities.

This game is going the wrong way to try and please all the pve carebears and will end up competing with the like of world of warcraft and final Fantasy and guess what will lose.

When I suggested to have faction controlled areas being PvP for the faction I got flamed to hell.
(Although I also suggested to be factionless as an alternative if you really don’t want PvP at all)

I still believe we need more RvR like content (like in WAR, ESO, GW2) with outposts to fight for 24/7.
And we need more sandbox content to let people create their own content like ArcheAges law system or farming, like BDOs breeding or let us create own PvE content e.g. you can send mobs into other areas, summon mighty world bosses, …

they already lose as they didn’t have the pve content in-game in the first place, they can add in all the pvp they want, the game will just die until they have the pve content to support more casual players…

This is very wrong people want arenas dueling is nothing close to an arena at all

Adding smaller scale battlegrounds are what we want aswell but you cant say no to arenas because we have dueling

It’s not just the casual players. Lots of hardcore PVPers like to chill on occasion and try other challenging content. At this point the game has NO PVE endgame. This is at least a great first iteration of an endgame. The game has at least some PVP endgame - war. PVPers need to pipe down a bit while PVErs get their tiny bit of repeatable content before more PVP content is released. IMO all they need to do is tweak the umbral system slightly so it doesnt invalidate 590-599 items from crafters/drops and I would literally call it a perfect addition to the game and beg that they open up more dungeons for mutations!

Thts why i suggested the idea of not increasing the cap from 590 to 600 but keep it the same with the ability to upgrade from 590 to 625

all i can say to that is if you dont want to pvp than stay in your zones… and if a factuon controls a zone that has the farming materials you want well… you should have to risk being killed.
they took the time to capture it to get those features… you should have to fight if you want access to them wether it be mining or harvesting or whatever… just makes sense to me. also gives a reason for other zones to be more valuable than simply EF and WW being highly fought over.

other then that with what you said to law system or something… i guess killing people who are pvp could result in bounties or something along those lines where kill x amount of people in the world gets you rewards but then you also get bounties against you and players can try and track you down for a reward of they can kill you or simply make you surrender… would be good uses of the voip in this. i dunno so much things and ideas im amazed how they find it so hard.

Epic quest lines with a cool story.
Quests which might appear by accident or quest givers without a sign which may only appear at night. Quests with riddles, with jumping puzzles, where it is not clear what to do.

Non combat content like farming, breeding, trading runs, chest hunt.

Real world events.

Would be nice to have some cut senses in new quest lines they add. They are definitely more appealing and they definitely do a better job at engaging players.

Lets be honest the game has 2 cut sense right when you start the game you have the boat cut sense and the only other one is once you get to top of the hill during the tutorial lol

You have the pve content for causals… go kill a bear.

OK sure if you believe that… is just a 2v2 dual no other objectives involved.

Idk how to explain it maybe someone else will do a better job but having an arena were you arent just waiting for a timer to expire and start attacking in an open field, arenas you start separately. You have los, certain things arent allow such as honing stones food buff etc, arenas make a fair level of playing field to a certain extent.

People want that competitive aspect of arenas they want a ranking system with seasons they can strive to be the best

what are you talking about… there is much more pve content at the moment even before mutators come out than pvp at the moment… crafting, fishing, harvesting, building your house… furnishing… expeditions, chest runs, invasions, winter events, corruptions… like are you serious… what does pvp have… some half assed pvp toggle that people use simply to get the luck bonus and toggle off at first sight of a fight. then you have wars and opr’s… thats it. have you even been playing or are you taking yourself out of the casual players on purpose just so you can ask for more than you already have…

doing the same shit over and over is not new content… also you dont build houses in new world you just buy them… I’ve leveled almost all my skill to 200… I’ve explored all zones and landmarks… invasion i have never done because of elitism amongst companies, just like wars…

almost 700 hours

I flag for luck all the time I am happy to see it added, opr and wars are broken and boring asf, they need to focus on making new content not forcing old content and more grind…
