naval battles/deep sea fishing ala Archeage w/ a pirate faction
I do like the GW2 OW dynamic events, and would love to see that in NW. Escorting someone to a hut, to find its overrun with undead that needs to be cleared out, only to find and remove the source is a good cornerstone for those. That could lead into another event where you follow someone up the road to check on a larger camp, and take that back after discovering it was where the source of the hit infestation came from, eventually leading into a boss fight.
This game is perfect for open world events. Even ESO has their own version with the anchors, and all of their spin offs. The invasions are okay for this, but something more consistent on top of those would be welcome. I mean, early Rift, closing the rifts with random people like me, being given credit for an accomplishment without searching for group, was probably the most fun Iād had in an MMO since WoW BC (it was just really fun, not a direct comparison, lol).
There are a lot of pvpers that like to pve, and pveers that like to do a little pvp but are locked out of wars for obvious reasons.
A mechanic like the Baron in OPR could be fun in a different environment if there was actual good loot to be dropped where the pve was challenging but maybe two groups duke it out to try and be the ones to kill the boss. Maybe it can drop umbral shards and be another method to earn those, or asmodeum ingots so we can roll crafted gear easier, rare trophy mats etc. Have it be a 20 v 20 environment with proper matchmaking rankings, maybe its a maze and boss is in a random spawn location, do you rush the boss when you find it or try to ambush the other team?
Give smaller companies a chance to earn a % of the profits from huge territories, and I say this as gov of windsward on my server. Maybe each town has a 5v5 arena and whoever ranks highest on it at the end of the week gets a small % of the profits from that town regardless of faction control for the next week.
Instanced raids can be fun and rewarding. We dont need massive gear treadmills, unique perks and even cool cosmetics are incentive. Maybe the legendary weapons from laz/gen can drop from a raid version but they have 10 extra attribute points, those small boosts will get players to chase the gear without making new players feel like they cant compete if they dont commit to massive grinds so they just give up on the game.
This is a ridiculous comparison. Maybe the annoying guy in the bar that wonāt stop talking to you, and wonāt take a hint, but to compare killing someone that has opted to be killed by other players, in a game, to rape, is an extremely large jump to make.
I already told you that I donāt flag. I donāt like OWPvP.
But donāt think youāre good at it because youāre chasing players who are just trying to get better items in their collection. If they wanted a confrontation they wouldnāt run, genius!
That is not PvP. Thatās you being a filthy harnessed bandit. But okay, you can still justify your disturbed behavior.
Itās all Iām going to say about it.
you are flagged for pvp⦠i dont understand⦠the fact you dont want to fight is irrelevant⦠you are from another faction my goal is to make it harder for you to farm , quest, pvp or whatever else that is part of the game⦠the fact you want to run away has nothing to do with it. doesnt make me greedy or whatever else its part of being flagged for pvp. anyone flagged for pvp just to get there mats or boosts for running or xp or luck precentage and then crying when they get chased down by someone who is pvp makes no sense you opted to be flagged for pvp i didnt force you nor. what i did do is play the game as intended and make it harder for you since you are flagged. the fact you dont get thay os insane to me.
It seems more ridiculous to me that people like that guy believe that he is a jury, judge and executioner and that he should punish anyone who needs to obtain better items in their daily tasks.
Because if someone really likes PvP, look for a good fight. Chasing someone who doesnāt want to or doesnāt know how to fight, thatās not a good fight.
Either he lacks pants, or he lacks brains. But he has plenty of crapulence.
you can obtain any item without being flagged⦠you get the boosts for the added risk or threat pf being killed by the enemy faction and i say ENEMY because thats what other factions areā¦
You compared annoying people in a video game, to rape. There isnāt anything you could say that would make me take you seriously, unless you grew up, and recanted you remark. That guy could be the biggest prick troll in the game, and I would still take his arguement more seriously. Fearmongering is poor arguement, but being that extreme removes all credibility. No one is going to prison for camping your pixel man.
My son, little or nothing matters to me that you take me seriously. You are not my employee, not my client, or anyone I know.
If you donāt like my opinions, you go to my profile, look at the lock button on the right and activate it forever.
Because throughout my life I always say what I think and generally do what I say.
Thatās not going to change for gaining someoneās approval on a video game forum.
Happy day.
Then stop arguing. If you donāt care, just stop. Prove you donāt care.
With the guy who was leading the discussion, I already finished it a while ago
With you⦠well, that means when the post ends with āHappy dayā
HAPPY DAY AGAIN
10 man PvE āRaidā that should be where the expertise cap raises to 625.
No whether you want to have each person have an item to get in, or another tuning orb or w/e thatās up to you guys.
The mutations seem like a really cool concept but I think adding a dynamic and creative āraidā encounter is really the future of where the game should be heading.
But donāt forget us PvPāers too. Another OPR map, Arena, Deathmatch, tons of other types of stuff could be added.
Open world bosses inside PVP only zones
Everything.
Endgame shouldnāt be a singular activity. Dungeons, farming, crafting, Named/Notorious Monsters, low man content. Most importantly to me it should build upon each other, and what I mean by that is that I donāt want to feel punished when a new activity comes out. Time gated content is fine, but that should only be for something thatās amazing. The reward should feel worth the wait, not regret farming all our gear when a new thing comes out, or every month something drastically changes so work is lost. Help keep progress while adding. More is always more.
So Iām sure the thought process is that eventually crafting will go to level 300 and/or people will only be able to level one craft to 300 and thatāll eventually be the gearscore of whatever the cap is, but what if at level 300 armoring an armorer could alter one perk on a crafted piece of gear that a player has equipped. G.S. remains 600, so crafters arenāt losing anything. Our armor isnāt useless, but now we can pay for one perk to be changed. It could even use an item thatās dropped in a dungeon. This doesnāt punish people for getting crafting to 200, but realizing theyāll never make it to 300.
Same thing with dungeons. We can maybe augment a piece of gear. Or we could put multiple perks on each piece of gear. Letās say we have 2 shields one with damage mitigation from corrupted and one with damage mitigation from Angry-earth. What if we could at the beginning of a dungeon slot one perk and jam another perk into it if we win. Of course the second piece of gear would be destroyed, but the perk now becomes modular. So with all current weapon abilities on cooldown we can click the items perk, and a dropdown with a list of all perks successfully moded into it would appear and we could pick whichever perk was added to the list through this dungeon activity.
Make weapons gain their own experience. lets say we stop the G.S. at 600, but weapons and armor now have an experience bar. When they get 10k experience you get a Merit point that increases damage by .1 or hp by 1. Any weapon can now be leveled. You could even make it so only one piece of gear can level at a time.
I donāt want to lose progress. I am willing to pour a crazy amount of work though into upgrading a piece of gear even 1% as long as I know that piece of gear is staying with me.
Reward us, donāt punish us for playing. Make everything worth our time, even if itās nothing important. More people playing your game however they want ultimately makes a better community for everyone. People donāt mind not being at the finish line, but they hate never being able to cross it and itās pure pain to watch it move farther away.
If you must add content for hardcore players make something stupid hard and make their weapons glow or give them a crazy title or a tier 5 house for free. You donāt need to panic that some people have nothing to do and make it harder for everyone. If you make it so people can show off that they are in the elite 1%, those elite players will do it even if it doesnāt make their gear better or increase their armor.
YES! wait until the bugs are fixed or there will be so much backlash.
The fair way is personally to let us upgrade our crafted or whatever items from 590-600gs (crafting/expertise) as well. There is so much valuable stuff that pretty much anyone has and it would be useless if its not legendary, for example all the ~598gs āBiSā 2 perk with attribute items that we have.
I would like to see upgrades for those items as well, even if our ~598gs āBiSā pieces stay purple, at least let us upgrade that to 625.
@Shadow_Fox
Honestly⦠let us reach it. So far only a minority of all players have even reached endgame content yet. Sure some people can spend all day or every day above 5 hours on just this game, but that is not the majority of the players. Doesnt even matter if PVE or PVP.
Grinding is okey if you can reach a point where the grind stops and you can just enjoy yourself with your friends. But if you keep pushing content only the no lifers and top tier companies will even see that content you put out as everyone else will be just left behind.
Catching up system i do not like either as it disvalues the achievements of the people having done the grind.
It feels way too early for the 625 increase as only a very few number of people have even reached this status.
I couldnt even care less about BIS stuff either. I rather would like to explore new areas. I am hyped for brimstone sands.
Mutations are probably nice for having some sort of variety in endgame, but after all it is just alterartions of the same dungeons and areas you have already seen. Same bosses, same riddles.
I enjoy the little quests for low levels even more than other endgame stuff you have implemented. But that is just my personal taste.
I have to bring myself for signing up for the group content (also because you only can sign up if you travel to particular town, would be much more helpfull if you could sign up over a war board on the map or so).
I enjoy just running over the map revisiting places I have been, going where other people are not going. Some kind of random stuff to find would be nice. Treasure maps / Treasure map quests for example, this could be also something for all those people playing solo too.
Why does all endgame content have to be for groups? Some days I just want to play for my self, other days I like to group up. Let us choose if we want to go in a group or solo. Currently it feels like 90% of endgame content that gives you some kind of progess is locked behind Group PVE. There seems to be no choice other than doing Group PVE.
If you can measure how many players run a zerg and increase enemy difficulty based on that, shouldnt it be possible to reward people running high tier stuff solo?
Please make open world pvp more meaningfull. Let us defend a caravan? How about company owned small forts (instanced) where companies can have fights against each other in a smaller scale than a town war, and which does not affect all players in that areas?
Sometimes also very stupid non relevant stuff can be fun for āengameā such as collect x skins by unlocking them somehow. A random traveling npc will sell each week in a different town a skin if you bring him X or do Y mini questline (which will send you off to some areas on the open world map, not intentially elite zones, so that even people that have not reached 60 can do it). Or maybe a schematic that can be used to alterate the look of an existing gear you already have.
There is just soooo much ideas that could bring some variability to endgame even if you already have maxed out your expertise and have BIS stuff already on you.
These things are very important. Having small things but at high quality make a huge difference.
