I have tried on both the USWest & East servers to see if anything changes but for the most part I play with the sound turned off. It starts in the newbie zone and when I speak to NPCS it makes this choppy stuttering sound that just doesn’t go back to normal.
I updated my PC / drivers using the link you guys have posted on the login screen and nothing has changed so… at this point I have no idea what to do except keep the sound off because its just horrible listening to that stuttering choppy garbled mess.
I have this same issue. I updated drivers as well. Today I had very low sound, that sounded like they were in a tin can, I exited completely came back, sound was normal volume but back to garbled NPCs. I know this is a new release, but it “feels” very BETA.
Yea… I cant figure out what the problem is. So far since day one I have played with the sound turned off and you can imagine how disorienting that can be so to balance that out I put on music but its not the same. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt because they did a hell of a job relieving the huge queues to get into the game in a matter of hr’s which is a lot more than ‘Blizzard’ has done to fix the issue with 90% of the pre orders for Diablo 2 resurrected fans not being able to even launch the game much less play it. And that game has been out since last week Thursday and they have yet to fix the issue.
That being said, I dont know how many other people have this same issue and what its going to take for the tech crew to see it and apply some sort of a fix.

Still no reply from them yet. Right now I am downloading a 10g update so maybe thats a patch for this issue… I’ll let you guys know.
