Mykgard Bosses and Mobs Buffed! Why?

Did Myrk earlier with 5 Groups Rotating through. Myrk has three areas. Lots of room to move through. If the zerg comes, pull off. Things respawn pretty quick.

Mykgard and other gear score runs have become pvp quests. Where various factions challenge each other. The losing side doesn’t go away. Some stay pvp flagged in order to try to pick off people or camp respawn points and the rest run ahead either to trying to mine ore or lead bosses into unsuspecting groups. With the added difficulty of the bosses, a good timed ambush in a boss fight and camped spawn points, resets the entire thing. And, both sides really don’t get what they want, which is a clean gear score or successful mining run.

Don’t know really what to say about it. It’s a shit show. But, can be fun.

Polite and Concise: The person making the decisions to “make sweeping changes” untested and unannounced to the live game should be put in another position. Promote someone with experience and some common sense.

Try keeping in mind that a small group is fine, but there will most likely always be more groups around, may it be further ahead, behind you or they go at the same time as you. Which means you end up with ridiculous high zone scaling no matter what. You’ll end up fighting as a small group against this insanely buffed mobs and bosses and it’s just ridiculous and super time consuming. Also disheartening that the commander becomes untankable as well. But this isn’t just for Myrk, all elite zones are currently way overbuffed. Even the low level ones and everything takes ridiculously low. Stuff needs to be adjusted and most likely ASAP.

Next to that the chests needs to be fixed as well because its all unrewarding atm.

You are either ignorant or lack the basic common sense, on a popular server you cannot guarantee that you are the only group doing the elite content. This is a open zone not an instanced one so your comments are delusional.

Yaeh I don’t think people understand that, even if you go with a small group (So lets say a group of 5.) It doesn’t mean that nobody else is in the zone… And it will automatically upscale everything to all those people in the zone and just make it unplayable. Super annoying these dense people.

Honestly devs, you guys got to fix this with the next upcoming patch day. Reddit is also going ham and so are your steam reviews at the moment.

You either scale difficulty in a closed instance by x amount of players or you don’t scale at all. You can’t scale based on players in some open area, some maybe not even helping with the run.

Just another short sighted snipe change to counter something they didn’t foresee.

From the Update on Current Issues:

This description doesn’t specify that the difficulty of the mobs scale based on the number of people in the area. Does anyone have video documentation of this happening?

Nobody knows - because NO DEV is telling how it works.

And that there drops less Loot from Elite is as well (again) a bug.

Decreased loot quality and amount from elite chests - this is an unintentional bug that was introduced in the 1.1 patch.

Yea and it really seems the scaling is 1) Way over the top atm and 2) it really feels like there isn’t a scaling cap or what so ever, the mobs can get so incredibly strong its ridiculous. The fact that they only talk about Ebonscale being scaled too high and will be tuned is absolutely dumb to me considering the whole forum complained about ALL the zones, especially Myrk in this case, being way too powerful at the moment.

Like come on, even low level elite zones got affected by this and people are literally struggling there, the changes that have been done so far are not okay at all.

Just hate the fact we got to wait till patch day and also HOPE they actually the overal scaling again…

I want to ask the game developers to show us working examples of Mykgard being completed by experienced players after the last patch.

I watched some Twitch streamers before the last patch, like BDLG and he was part of a 10 men team that managed to complete the area. Now they have increased the difficulty of Mykgard, but please educate the casual player how to survive.

I would appreciate it if the game developers make more comprehensive guides and videos on how to survive End Game Elite zones since they have decided to increase the difficulty…like how to survive the Commanders and Portals in Myrkgard. Even BDLG got fragged by the Commanders in Mykgard before… despite having 12k HP if I recall correctly…

It’s not only that it is harder. My biggest issue is the enormous health pool the monsters have. Spending 10 minutes hitting the bear in eternal pool to get a potion in a 6 man (3+3) group?
This feels bad AF.
I don’t mind the increase in difficulty but rewards for the bosses should have been increased as well

I do not see what this has to do with the topic you created.

But I do agree the buffs to elite PoI’s made them a bloody chore, and the changes should be reverted.

Also curious if he is just talking about fixing the Elites listed or if other Elites will also be tuned down.
So far I have seen these massive health mobs in Periville and Scorpius.
But he is only writing about MD and ER.

Definitely!
Go to Scorpius and do a left click party on the corrupted door (Veil) for 10 minutes with two of your friends. Maybe even longer, depending on which weapons you use. Or rather not use, as Fire Staff does more damage on them than your primary weapons.
No, the door wont attack you back. Its just a door after all. You just have to left click it. Its so much fun :slight_smile:

Yeah this was way over done IMO. They probably needed a small buff, but I just got out of Myrkgard and we were getting absolutely slaughtered as a group of ~15 lvl 60s. When taking boss agro (tall sword guy), my stamina was gone in 1-2 shots and he would kill me in 1-2 shots that landed.

I don’t know how you could actually kill that guy without 30+ people. Going to be impossible to complete my quests there. Hard enough to get a 15 person group up there, let alone enough to actually have success.

20% bonus to PvE damage when flagged for PVP. It’s the only way.

Yeah and this is even happening to high geared tanks as well. It definitely needs some fine tuning because getting rekt like that as a tank is just absurd and very demotivating.

I just need them to fix this and correct it properly. Same goes to all other zones. Honestly unacceptable like this.
