An idea for open world - mythic enemy zones, like the elite zones but then enemies are like lvl 68 - 70 and the zone has environmental effects like the M10 expeditions.
This way it adds more content and players can learn how to counter and dodge attacks that are applied in mutated expeditions. Same effects for players that are under 625 gs , they do minimal damage and take extra from enemies.
Another thing to consider and might be cool is to have special weather effects and have these impact the area itself. Hail storm that forces you inside abandoned buildings in between fights or an erupting volcano? Heavy heavy rain. Crazy stuff.
I would love to see extra extra hard areas that literally require zergs to complete. Maybe 20+ or 50+ group level of difficulty. So you could gather large groups and run it as a company. Right now things like Myrkgard are nice but when it gets zerged itβs very easy. Why not just make an area that literally requires this? Open World stuff is a tough balance because without instancing it, you canβt really restrict how many players are there. Would be a cool option at least.
I like this idea, make the environment mean something, make the world more dynamic.
Overall I love anything that adds challenge, also anything that can bring players together for content. I loved raiding in EQ2, spent years running raids with the guild I was in, some of the best memories come from those times. Anything that brings that feeling to NW is from me.
