One monster can heal the other monster and buff their attack and defence etc. ( These mini boss monster would play like the players party casting,using skills,healing,dodging,)

The open world mini bosses can be from the npc factions of new world, ( angry earth, the lost, ancients, corrupted, beasts,) they can be human npc factions. As more npc faction types are added, the open world mini bosses types can be expanded.

New world npc factions should contain different infantry units. The different infantry units would have unique designs and weapon types and abilities. example npc factions ogres

- The monsters can have lore in how they came to be example, the slime and sludge monsters came to be from the toxic and corrosive waste of syndicate laboratories and their experimentations.

tales of legend: The grim reaper entices the dying to return to the living once again.
Throughout the island of aeternum sailors speak of a ghastly ghostly figure that rides its undead horse in the night. In the clouds, a ghastly figure flies its mount.
To the grim reaper the corrupted are an obstacle. While the lost and corrupted are separate entities. They both want world domination of aeternum.
The grim reaper energy type is different from azth and corrupted.
The grim reaper has its own faction along with the lost npc of new world.

- more abilities can be added i.e using black flames as its damage type
- This monster can cast negate demise, a status effect that places half the party members into a coffin box, party members would become undead zombies if they are not freed.

- The Ancients have left remnants of destroyed infrastructure and buildings, a great war took place on the island and other islands like aeternum.

During the great war the ancients were bought to destruction, at the crucial event of the war.
The ancients had a coup e dat. Led to their downfall. This story narrative can be expanded of the factions that were part of this great war that led to the destruction of the ancients.

A cult of people that are the followers of izabellu. While this isnt the case but a powerful corrupted demon, wants to consume izabellu and gain further power. Has employed the followers of izabellu to do its demon bidding.
As the story arc progresses many human lives are lost and include major character of new world are casualities. Followers of izabellu need many human souls to power their devices to bring izabellu back.
The monkey demon has always wanted izabellu’s power but was unable to acquire it, when izabellu is revived she wont be as powerful, this would allow the demon monkey to consume her. The followers of izabellu would verse the monkey demon but they would be destroyed by the demon monkey. Within the corrupted there are major and minor corrupted which have their own followers and squadrons.

hydra ( serpent with many heads ) The angry earth factions, the creature which lives in aeternum seal gates. The tress passers that want to invade are destroyed by the hydra.

Multiple hydras can be made by body cloning from one hydra.
The poison fumes the hydra emits can melt any armour / weapon.

The azth tree was destroyed before making the beast npcs into chimeras. The Azth tree was revived and seal gates where put through aeternum. With powerful boss monsters. That destroy invaders.
The ancient relics are placed in ancient buildings and domes. Should the ancient relics be destroyed the azth tree would lose its barrier.

It can seal away players ability to heal when it inflicts damage. It can cast true encumbered, which would instantly slow players (stop them from using dodge mechanics).

griffin ( fusion between eagle and lion ) Rare almost extinct species, that roam freely through the air in new world, building their nests in the highest mountains. Its feathers and claws are rare used in crafting and making everyday items. From ship parts to armour and weapon parts.

basilisk: The snake king of serpents on land. Its favorite foods are eggs. Its gaze and saliva can cause instant petrification turning living beings into stone. Then it would swallow their food whole.
werewolves ( wolves that walk on two legs ) These are beast creatures that gained new abilities by the corrupted energy. They drank from polluted rivers and lakes.
The corrupted energy transformed them into larger and more humanoid beasts.
They are also humans that transformed by joining with the corrupted, humans that were not able to transform into powerful corrupted demon creatures. Were reduced to a state of being a beast.

The marauder faction wanted to make the ogres into marauder faction members. But the ogres rebelled that they do not care about humans and their kingdoms.

Sand Worm ( Worms living inside the sand ) The beast creature lives inside the sand desert
eating the nutrients from the sandy minerals. It emits powerful roar that can destroy things.
sand worms from a larva stage grow into giant creatures. Humans would eat sand worms when food was scarce. The sand worms now eat humans. The sand worms live deep in the sand.
Where their nest of other sand worms in sand caves and sand dunes.
They can grow to the size of ships should they live long enough.
Inside of a sand worm are treasures and loot as they have eaten entire cities.
They have ability to form sand storms and and echo blasts. Causing civilizations to be left to utter ruin.
Sand Scorpian The beast creature that destroys armour with its pincers, its tail can stretch a mile and sting with status effects, and jump into the air using its tail as a spring. It can grow horn spikes over its body, deals damage to players that make contact with its body.

Spider Demon ( Cave dwellers ) These beast spider creatures live in dark zones away from sunlight, exposure to high-intensity light would cause instant blindness. They spin their webs to bring food sources, other humans and beasts and creatures.
Their webs are solid as steel unable to be cut by normal weapons, once a prey is encumbered in their web, the spider creature will eat them whole.
Corrupted captain unit:
Bat Monster Powerful corrupted creatures that have destroyed many humans, absorbing their life force and blood. This powerful corrupted would be a captain unit in the demon world.
Its ability are darkness and bleed. Able to shred living beings with eye energy blasts.
It has the unique ability to take away opponents senses. causing blindess and deafness.
It can summon bats from its wings. These bats can transform become its weapon.
Bats: have the body and shape shifting ability follow the bat captain.

their elemental damage is a combination of fire and lightning making a new elemental effect as blast flame ( blast flame is faster than fire and more explosive than lightning).
Abyss dragon faction: infantry unit the foot soldiers with average stats
Abyss dragon faction: captain overall high attack damage stats, other abyss dragon faction i.e the infantry is under their order.

This faction are rare breed of humans that were born with super natural abilities.
How they were born with such abilities is a tale of legend.
They are a rogue organization that dont exist in any lore book of the world.
Different from other factions the hunter faction are not a united faction, they are individual people that have joined. Every hunter faction member have a pocket clock, as this determines when sun light is. This greatly diminishes their abilties and reduce them to normal humans.
When night fall occurs the entity in them grow more powerful, the hunter faction units would need to burrow underground to reduce the power of the entity in them. Underground have no sun light nor night fall. Zones mines, caves and Sewer
It is said that the hunter faction members live glommy isolated existences.
Their members all wear dark attires with pointy hats and hoods.
They battle super natural creatures.
The type of power thats in them, can overcome them. There would be no return to their sanity. Other hunter faction units would have to exile them / destroy them. As their power has its own conciousness, it seeks to completly take over the host.

Hunter faction story:
The units of the hunter faction dont have a established hierachy, each member choose their
weapon types. It is said that the hunter faction unit has been in existence since ancient times. Its members are as ancient as the land. They dont interact with other humans as doing so. Would cause the creature inside of them to try to take over another host. This would cause their own abilities to diminish. Demons and spirits are constantly hunting them as the hunter faction power source is a delight to those monsters.
When a hunter faction unit needs rest they must place a barrier that repels all contact with the outside world.
forcefield: This ability nullifies damage from inside and outside. The force field would only deactivate when the duration is up.

when both heavy units are wielding great swords, they would have unique skills and attack animations to their faction.

the lost faction heavy unit would not swing with the same attack animation as the abyss dragon faction. Being a undead the lost faction heavy unit would have unique abilities, being able to regenerate after dying by elements they are not weak to.
the abyss dragon faction heavy unit would be able to use his tail as an attack being part dragon etc. And take flight with its dragon wings.
they can have a unique trait to transform into higher percentage dragon. Gain addtional dragon like abilities.
