At launch, my friend was unable to purchase the game so I claimed his character name on an alt. I recently bought the game for him and tried to delete the character so he could use his username in game. However, it looks like the name is still tied to my account for a period of time. Is there a way I can “release” the name from my account or any info on how long it’s tied to my account?

After deleting your character, the game takes 30 days to release the name used.
How many time have pass since you delete it?

Only ~24 hours. I purchased it for him when it went on sale for the free weekend. There’s no way to remove the name manually?
