Need advice on main weapons

Hi everybody,

Iam a returning player lvl 55 atm. Iam trying to figure out what build I want to build towards. I have a few wishes.

  1. I like melee focus in games.

  2. I want to use the hatchet

At this point I tried all melee weapons up to rank 10-15.

I need advice on what to combine with the hatchet for both PVE and PVP.

Iam leaning towards GA/GS/Spear but iam open for any suggestions.

Please help me iam going back and forth for days, one day I think yes I found it but the next day I start to doubt again.

Hatchet is great for leveling. I’ve paired it with SnS and WH. Fun times. (Personally for fun I went back to a SnS WH setup because I like tanking. Burned out on ranged for some reason.)

My subjective vote: SnS + Hatchet

PvP: I wouldn’t even bother building an endgame PvP spec - until you no longer have to ask “what build is good for PvP” because by the time PvP will matter for your situation, you will know. OPR is a great testing ground for this so just focus on decent GS to scale enough to learn some things.

I second sNs + hatchet, it’s quite fun with leaping strike + shield rush + shield rush. Example build:

Other than that you can’t really go wrong with any other combination as long as you are sharing the same attributes.

Thank you so much! Very useful information. I started with SnS+hatchet when the game launched. I didnt think this could work for PvP .
