Need some help: Some abilities just don't activate (or activate slowly). Anyone have a fix for this

Using Sword

First One: Defiant Stance. It will take 7 to 8 keypresses to work (the button flashes when I press it, but it doesn’t activate)

My other two abilities for the sword Leaping Strike and Shield Bash, work on the first press.

Using Void Gauntlet

Void Blade: Does the same Defiant Stance Above

Other VB abilities work fine

Has anyone else seen this?
