This feels so bad. I’m all for specialized glasscannon builds who can burst someone down. But the important part here is glasscannon and specialized. Right now every weapon (well, except LS) can destroy you in a matter of seconds.

I hadn’t had time yet to test it at OPR but talking with some other healers, TTK is down to 2 seconds with a single person, 2 guys can 1skill 100-0 anyone, be it healer or whatever is wearing light armor.

So it was nerfed across the board with the damage buff, but now the light guys are gonna bitch about the increased damage income, because only healers should get suckerpunched amirigh

Dude if you have 9 players, then can play using just face, no hands and should kill top healer no issues.

Try any other build 1 vs 9 and show me how 1 top players fights 9 worst on server.

Healers do not need more nerfing. So many ways to delete healers now in this patch. Access to good gear has never been easier. The perks on weapons are actually strong including those disease perks for healer assassins. New meta builds will come soon enough. Figure it out in the game instead of crying for a nerf on the forums every time you fail.

Generalizing a whole player demographic doesn’t suit you, your better/smarter than this and you know that.

I appreciate that statement.

It’s frustrating watching people argue about things they don’t understand.

AGS has a history of making changes to the game based on feedback. It doesn’t matter if the problem is actual or simply perceived. Real or perceived problems are of equal value to the devs, and so what we end up with is changes to non-issues based on perceived problems from a playerbase too lazy to attempt any self-improvement.

I’m tired of good things being made worse by the devs to cater towards bad players. You see it all throughout these forums, and you’ll hear it in discords during PvP. Frustrated players who get killed by something they don’t understand, and don’t attempt to. “That’s bullshit!”, “This game fucking sucks!”, “[Insert Build] is skillless shit and AGS is stupid for allowing it!”.

And then you chime in with something like, “Just block the leaping strike”, and if they listen, all of sudden they’re having fun and killing people. Nothing about the situation changed outside of being spoonfed information that they were too lazy to discover on their own.

The game has plenty of problems, don’t get me wrong. Most players just aren’t experienced enough in competitive games to discern what the problems are. AGS sees this and designs around it. I just isolate the MMO-oriented players because they tend to be the main demographic represented by it. People who play other, more competitive, games don’t bring these mentalities with them because they carry a more growth-oriented mindset and set out to solve problems.

All good, I know how you feel, although I don’t have the best knowledge of the game and its combat mechanics I happen to observe the same Problem about AGS and their lack of understanding/interpreting players feedback. Sadly some people seem to understand and exploit that. Often for the worse of the game. Lets hope they learn that lesson rather quickly.

so i stopped playing a a few months ago, played a bit the last couple weeks.
healer main
light, usually 400/100 or 450/50 - ls/rape

healing in this gaming is the most unrewarding, boring, slow pile of shit now.
the stamina changes are ridiculous

and no, im not saying this because now i die… i still dont die (and i play in melee range because im actually a good healer). it is just bad. On top of that, heals cant keep anyone up anymore (against good players), and there are sooo many more noobs (as a percentage) playing, so the oprs arent even fun (dont really feel like hitting up everyone i warred with before)

i cant believe the entitlement of gamers today; instant gratification, not wanting challenge, not trying to get better… AGS failed because they take PERCIEVED issues as factual issues, and all you bad players who need an escape from shitty reality and expect for a game to be easy made it happen.

This is why mobile games are so successful… and why most people have lost faith in humanity.

Lifestaff is also the only weapon that doesn’t need a second weapon to do it’s job, and can therefore equip a rapier that has

-best escape skills
-stun
-rend

you also dont need time to aim, so not really, i wonder how broken you would find it if vg users could spawn a 2 sec root on you from 20 m away, but ofc we all know ga and ls are the only weapons that are allowed to remain strong

Lifestaff doesn’t need a nerf. They’ve added tons of burst damage and new perks to create a lot more damage but didn’t give anything in terms of sustain. If you’re mad that a healer can run away from you and not die, 9 times out of 10 it is because they’re using a rapier. Try chasing anybody who has a rapier in a light kit. Heals are fine

As a healer I can confirm that I get wiped off the Aeternum any time I walk alone - OPR/3v3/Open World - doesn’t matter. If you’re so lost at the game you can’t combo kill a healer then you can’t kill anyone else.

You don’t think something is unbalanced/broken (lol the whole game) when resilient is pretty much a required perk for every piece of armor and for any role?

Makes for a serious lack of diversity in what people consider BiS.

It would be much quicker if we could aim these two out of 6 spells and not rely on the clunky targeting system.

Also, the no aiming part goes for literally all melees and as LS you have arguably a harder time to land your shots as with the treeshooting bow.

Yeah because all range spells are so hard to hit right? Its not like there are spells with a hitbox larger than the known bug list.

i don’t know, are there any ranged spells that can hit someone for 7k? talking about reality btw not against opr bots. Life staff can heal someone for 7k without aiming, and that’s not even the biggest issue with healers
