it is powerful but you cant hit shit if you only m1 unlike some playstyles(ranged) most weapons do more then just damage

there is literally no telegraph the ability starts if there was people would not go from bow and then the next frame be in a riposte while the enemy is mid swing. the sound is the only thing that allows people to react to it but it is to late as they have the cc immunity and can walk away. the rooting in place isn’t that much of a problem as it is an iframe the entire time. no one is getting hit by the guy that poped riposte will everyone was five feet away.

i guess every rapier user is just a god with perfect timing

burnout has a very long and obvious wind up making it easy to stop or dodge

He says that GA is an LMB spam weapon… I would accept it if you said it last year, but with nerfed lunge distance against ranged builds? if i spam LMB with GA being light, i just die :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: i only use it for chasing people when they run, but then i switch to hatchet…

Well sometimes it needs 4+ people to kill one GA bruiser and sometimes one GA bruiser can kill 4+ persons in one gravity well.
What about people consider that different weapons have different strengths!? You guys want everyone to be pieces of meal without any chance to escape in the battle. lol

Everything I read is “me melee me have to kill everyone, nerf that guy running away please”

only time it is going to take 4 people to kill a bruiser is if they have a healer. and there are a multiple things you can do currently to not die in a grav well plus it is already getting nerfed.

every thread i go on even if it has nothing to do with ga i read “me want to m1 spam in the back, that guy snuck up on me and i did nothing and died nerf that so i can sit and spam at point in peace.”

The same way there’s multiple manners to not be killed by a GA player, there’s multiple ways to kill a Rapier player. lol

Range is meant to be range, not up close. If a melee opts to come at a dex using rapier, then it’s their own fault that they get kited severely.

As a musket/rapier main, I’ve came across several good light and med melee, that knows how to bait my riposte, how to dodge it…and they will wait to use grav well if they know my abilities are on cool down. As soon as rapier is on full CD, a grav well is instant death for most light users.

Problem is the meta melee builds. Bad players get upset when they come across someone that they can’t beat. I get it, it’s frustrating being kited. When I run the occasional melee build, I won’t charge straight for a dex user that’s aware of me. The dodges and mobility isn’t easy.

Int/dex is the counter to melee…and that’s how it should be.

wtf is the counter int/dex then con? focus!? more int/dex. why should int/dex be able to fight everyone but str is supposed to fight str

Counter to int/dex is healers, tanks, and other int/dex :rofl:.

Melee has the most CC and utility. It’s reasonable that range DPS builds would be the counter.

Like I said though, a good melee can still take out a good int/dex user. Just requires more effort and actually thinking about what you’re doing…instead of holding W and spamming left click.

Also, you’re exaggerating. Gwell nerf isn’t that bad.

You do know left clicks from a Healer heals right?

it is harder for a str to kill a in/dex then it is for int/dex to kill a str

it is more about what the ranged does wrong the what the melee did right

healer counter all damage not just int/dex

tank isn’t goin to be getting anywhere near a dex/int and if they do it is completely there fault

these two are just as much a counter to melee as they are to range

so what does that leave? say it with me class, what is the counter to int/dex more int/dex crazy.

if points didn’t need to be captured you wouldn’t see majority melee

you seem to still be salty about old ga where a brainlet could kill a range in a 1v1

maybe you would not die to melee if stopped holding s and spamming m1 and slapping your spell keys when they get close

have you played the ptr being able to dodge in it takes away the entire point of waiting for a persons cds. like you said they wait for cooldowns and now they have to wait for your dodges too thats asking a bit much for someone that sits on a rock for a half hour

Indeed, that’s the point I’m getting at :rofl:. Should be like that. Especially considering how much of a pain in the booty it is to fire a projectile when they’re ontop of you smacking you in the face with a axe or hammer.

Also find it easier to kill healers and tanks using a melee setup. Maybe it’s just me :person_shrugging:

Not too often I die to melee 1 vs 1 personally. Does it happen? Absolutely…some cracked meleers on my server.

Not really messed with the PTR too much. Have stayed caught up on it via content creators though. Dodging while being rooted looks insanely clunky and shouldn’t be a thing. Gotta admit…that’s gonna be an insanely broken mechanic for dex users. 3 dodges to use…if paired with freedom, will be even more difficult to kill.

Btw, personally I only sit on a rock if positioning calls for it :sweat_smile:

If in OPR, ill be outside the doors of the lil fort things, in a corner shooting players, or on the walls…if their isn’t a musket outside shooting. Not to toot my own horn, but I’m probably one of the least useless musket players that you’ll come across. Will back cap if needed…will actually fight back, instead of just running across the map till im gotten off of. Unless a squad of 5 is on me. Would rather them waste time chasing me, instead of doing something more productive.

Btw, why are we even talking back and forth. I’m confused at this point. May be the lack of sleep…

You do have an anymation too at the end of fleche, not a big swing but there is still a landing animation. That + the starting animation its much longer than the charge’s and the fleche covers less ground too.

Wait why should someone die immediately just because you threw 2 abilities at them? Yo that’s absolutely broken if you expect everyone to die just because you caught them with ONE ability and combo-ed them with another?

If other classes need to use a full combination of abilities just to get your hp from 100-0, then you should need to do the same because if you expect to kill people with just pressing 2 buttons then you’re advocating pro-broken builds PvP combat.

It does but only if it passes through a player, and not if you use it specifically to hit an opposing player. You do know that’s what I was talking about right? Or maybe I need to hold your hand again and mansplain to you so you can understand?

Yep. Rapier offers to many “get out of jail” cards. But honesty i have no idea how it can be fixed. Increase CD more would be stupid. Maybe icreasing animation time slightly would do the work but dunno. Fact is weapon is god lvl compared to all other weapons when it comes to getting out of bad situations.
