Nerf rapier mobility

no, they dont. I never said they fought back. every healer ive seen who slapped on hatchet and IG never fought back, they just used defy and zerk to run.

Ah healers. That’s who you can kill with them.

well and dex too, just didnt see nearly as many dex slapping on hatchet or IG.

I just want to point out that you just said that it doesn’t matter if you’re close or far, the result is that they aren’t catching you :joy:. That might mean that some balance is in order lol

Also I’m not trying to downplay the work that you put into learning how to dodge properly, but the fact of the matter is that the rapier is what enables one to actually not get caught along with the dodging. A master dodger not using a rapier is still likely getting caught.

I can (and have before) just keep musket out. With the little bit of haste a dodge gives, paired with the nimble perk…and the dex perks.

Still not gonna get caught.

There is a reason as to why I brought up hatchet and IG on this topic.

I have a setup with light GA/Hatchet and FS/IG. Without even speccing into dex, I’m still a greased pig.

Would imagine the play with hatchet would be using muskets haste during berserks cool down.

In OPR, absolutely forget about it. If someone grabs zephyr cakes…yea…screw a greased pig, it’s like chasing a rabbit around. Them little things are fast and squirrely.

OPR is a delusional example for balancing. Lol.

Too many factors to include with the way it’s set up to effectively gauge it as an accurate gameplay example.

Greased pigs + zephyr cakes + Endurance potions?

Yea OPR isn’t the best way to balance things.

BUT that’s the issue. This is the main thing that 90% of players go by. This is the only pvp they’ll ever experience…outside of the occasional skirmish during pushing a territory or fort flipping.

I caught you all the time though :stuck_out_tongue:

But that was the SNS glory days

Think about it though.

When you did manage to get me, it was usually because I was fighting back. Believe you did get me a couple times during the moments you were chasing me across the map

BUT I’ve also gotten better, and better gear since then

No more 2 perkers for me!

I’ve gotten better as well but I definitely am not rocking any bis lol

I Finally got a 3 perk axe recently. RM/Thwarting Strikes for the last months and oh my… the difference in having a 3 perk GA.

Yeeeeaaaaah it’s pretty nuts. I currently swap between an abyssal attunement/keen empowered and a shirking flame/thwarting strikes.

But I just tried a rapier/hatchet build all throwing on hatchet(keen speed/empowering rending throw) oh my. It’s stupid. I’ll probably replace infected throw with berserk though. Just to run around like Usain Bolt.

I should say that my rapier is lvl 17 and I literally just threw together a build for it and have very little experience using the rapier in pvp myself. I destroyed. Was almost never in danger.

so, on a dummy stand I did a test with a keen axe and without a keen axe. did a series of 40 light attacks on a 0 health dummy so including the 15% crit chance against low health enemies and keen on my ring.

average of 18/40 crits - 45% crit rate

with keen on the axe I averaged 27/40 - 67.5%

I had no idea having Keen on your axe was such a power creep difference. lmao.

those people that get away multiple times with less than 1 thousand health do not anymore and even further, it has Keenly Jagged on it, which was supposed to get a buff but was missed helps with the runners as well.

It’s nice.

Keen, Thwarting Strikes, Keenly Jagged.

Much rather have Keen, RM or Attunement, Thwarting Strikes, but hey, i’m not complaining.

Keen is really nice on GA since it procs heals and stuff too.

It did get buffed! They just didn’t update the description.

once someone with a rapier ripostes, I know that person won’t die. Riposte gives them like 10 iframes it’s disgusting.

4 zones same siege timer darkstar :clueless:

Guys, why you’re not looking to this post for a simple solution;

Skill Restriction by Attribute Points! <(O_o)> - General Discussion / General Discussion - New World Forums

build diversity check

Thats the point of a rapier its not an offensive weapon like a sns youre suposed to bob and weave.

Its already been nerfed several times and most the time its used by light armor users so if you should be able to kill.

Ive listed out all the nerfs and how to win against rapier several time you can check my responses on my profile

The thing can do a lot of damage with the grace tree.

CD nerfs are not conscequential to the rapier.

The way that you win against rapier is: They fuck up.
