i dont see any problem with rapier.
people who use it may be anoying but they dont have much dmg .
and if they chose to run away so what.
in fact i think game is quite well balanced .
no one is abusing any build except aimbot or two lol.
I never understood the thought process of people who think you have fight to death every PVP encounter. Escaping is a legitimate tactic, especially in this game. There are plenty of people I go against who dodge my Riposte(im a max medium armor FS/Rapier), its really easy to tell when someone is going to use it. Just like all the other weapons and their meta abilities, you should know what to expect and dodge accordingly.
Rapiers do a lot of damage man.

Thatâs a convoluted statement though.
If you play OPR and clump fight, of course youâre not going to die to a single target assassin weapon.
If you play bow, odds are he used spear to kill you because rapier doesnât have as much, âstick,â potentional or have as much CC.
What rapier does do is make slow strength weapons look like shit. Itâs a niche punishing weapon.
Use spear to do your job, and if a lone bruiser wants some, you dish out the rapier and completely annihilate him with ease.
If youâre a decent bruiser, you donât do the above mentioned because of it.
Thatâs crazy because I started pvping with a rapier today and Iâve gotten a lot of kills with it.

Remove Fleche, replace it with an ability that awards staying in the fight, and youâll see it stop being the off-hand weapon of choice.
Doing anything to Riposte wonât stop the âDodge + Dodge + Fleche + Evade(+Stamina, +Haste) + Run/Dodgeâ escape potential. That combo can happen in literally 3 seconds. No other weapon can match that, and Fleche is the easiest skill to take out and rework, without breaking the weapon for people who play Rapier offensively.
Iâd honestly like to see stances, or maybe small auras(like 3m), as a skill. Maybe enemies in the aura are weakened, or rended. This would make people, who know how to actually use rapier offensively, hope to be engaged instead of just run away with the weapon.
Because itâs become too overturned and a crutch. The fact that no other weapon is acceptable for healers in war and 3s tells you everything about how overtuned it is.
Itâs destroyed melees viability outside of wars. Its created an unbalanced rift between healer ranged and melee now.
Thereâs a reason everyone only plays ranged now in OPRs.
No one looked at the rapier for the first six months until the change to the light dodge. Itâs s broken combo.

Riposte is useless against anyone with experience in melee; they just dodge the stun and reengage.
As to bleed stacking, you just run purifying toast⌠Tondo/FnF negated.
Itâs asinine to dismiss peoples experience because you donât like their build.
it ainât about the stun it about the its the invincibility during the the stun and several seconds of cc immunity you get after making running away free.

Idk not play like a complete dumb ass and be inside of the entier enemy team. Also rapier isnât exclusive to low con builds.
i played vs best rapier players on dry tree.
no matter how you put it you cant use blood tree that well.
its not bad but far from being op.
you need insane burts coz u cant sustaine dmg with low con so only really good combo is bis build with blunderbuss that can almost one shot.
other build lack con or lack burst.
nothing with rapier is op except healers.

i tried IG/bleed rapier today , and it was good.
100 dex, 250 int, bleeding ring, 150 con.
IG with tomb, pylon, and spike.
Rapier with tondo, FnF, and evade.
pylon and tondo anoying ppl and do some passive dmg,
evade +auto to do active consistent dmg
spike and FnF to burst
evade+tomb for lifesaving and healing.
Most of time u just do one tondo stack.
1st time try in opr had 20 kill 0 death.
yeah i know that build .
its very strong in 3v3 coz its strong on whole field .
but it has flaws like any other build.
in opr you cant make a kill vs good player.
cant chase down if low hp they run and heal back up.
there is guy who plays void rapier very good as well.
but it sucks from range as well.
and there are stronger builds for close range with hatchet , blunderbuss, shield , axe and even spear.
i bet you would do just as many if not more kills with number of builds without rapier.
rapier is very moderate weapon op only for noobs and healers.
This wouldnât exist if Light Armour rolls werenât that spammable.
Maybe they should raise its dodge cost from 50 > 60 so you cannot just spam it twice.
I donât think rapier needs to be nerfed⌠Iâve killed plenty in pvp, opr, etc.
I can escape deadly situations just as easily with leaping strike.
