sure it is if your healing you cant hit me with a single hit for 4 to 8k hit i can you but at same time i do agree eye frames when someone’s in something shouldn’t work like the fireball or path or rain of arrows i agree that doesn’t make sense
Hey man, I am just waiting to see what happens after the next patch. Things may change. The reason why I am commenting on here today is because Hoolagun made a ridiculous video and I just about choked on my drink when I watched it. Dude didn’t even auto or take the right skill tree to give himself a chance to survive then acted like it holds some kind of point. All it showed was he had no idea what he was doing lol
Well we are in agreement on that and honestly, that’s what this post is about. I honestly could care less if any of my ideas were ever put in the game. The purpose of this post is to have a discussion and try to find common ground. We all know there’s an issue somewhere. All I am trying to do is provide as much proof that this is broken. It’s extremely hard to catch healers because of how much they dodge/iframe. Maybe that’s a bigger issue than the self heals. Only way to find out is to test these theories and see if it makes things more balanced but my issue is that iframing is in the game, everyone can do it so when comparing every weapon type, healers can abuse this the most because they’re healed right back to full health.
i guarantee you die less as a archer with a rapier or musket, then a healer with a rapier. The reason is the eye frames and multiple self heal types even dps has, food, potions, add on healthy toast making mana now health pot, shirking heals and your almost a healer in dps.
When the forums cry about CC because they don’t know how to I Frame right and when the forums bitch about chain CC because they can’t I Frame and when the forums say light armor is useless we get this meta.
Everything offensive is gutted and nobody dies. Hence BowPR. Add in Shirking Fort and you have 60% Damage Absorption on FUCKING CLOTH ARMOR! If you’re in light, you should be two shot. Everyone bitches about it but that’s why it’s CLOTH ARMOR.
The REAL issue was dodge lock and never should have been a 5 second Dodge lock. They never should have had dodge-lock on anything anyways and played off exhausted status effects instead.
The REAL issue was Grav Well triple popping.
The REAL issue is this game is based on a punishing combat system reserved for high skilled players and they’re trying to make it Casual-Friendly.
Can you imagine a forum based on, “Balancing Elden Ring?”
The fucking rage that would ensue. It would probably look like…
New World General.
Its a an experiment dude.
You’re focusing on the wrong things and not what the video is showing you in black and white.
Youve now got multiple replies and peoples personal experience telling you otherwise.
If you want i can make another video this evening.
Post the criteria you will want to see in terms of buffs and exclude dodging, pots, rapier and vg.
This is strictly a life staff test and a self healing test.
Here is the proof btw.
One example is opr on a sweaty server where the players are adequately geared and skilled
The two video are showing two separate things so viewers are able to distinguish between what is self heals and what is rapier, dodging and pots.
Its from these that we can see that 1. Strong/skilled enemy’s have no problem with healers standing in their sg just absorbing heals and face tanking damage the way that people are making it out to sound.
Compared to your video we can see a big difference between the two enemy skill levels.
And 2. Anyone can see in the rapier video that I survived more from using rapier, dodging and pots. So if we were to talk about “what its OP” its using all of those combined and NOT the life staff specifically.
Dodging, rapier, pots and VG can be used by all classes but some comments are suggesting its the LS that is overpowered and we can now see that simply is not.
Here’s my opinion, i stopped playing the game just because of how strong healers are. But theres something we all need to think about, healers in small pvps are strong asf for sure, but in wars they are not that great kind of thing, in large scaled pvps its just about compositions.
So, at the same time that healers are not that effective in large scaled pvps, they are freaking oped in small scaled pvps.
I myself was in love with the 3v3 arena, but i’m a musket/rapier and it’s just almost impossible to win against a team that has a healer, even if i’m by far better than the other team they always win because of the healer and i got so frustrated that i just stopped playing the game.
Exactly.
More and more PVPers will quit until there is just a handful Life Staff abusers left.
I sympathize firstly,
Secondly there are two muskets on my server who are extremely punishing but they also have absolute bis gear and hardly miss.
I think it comes down to equipment and skill again. Im not saying you’re bad just that these guys are really good and are capable placing top 3 in opr.
I myself have experimented with muskets in opr
And with 310 dex, 150 int and 50 con i can definitely make a healer nervous
I have even killed a heavy, granted with many shots but it was possible.
oprs are a little easier to get yourself a good performance, but in the 3v3 arena you can’t avoid fighting healers, the problem is, i enjoyed the arena so much that i became sad of the fact that i can’t just win against a class because it is too strong in this kind of situtation.
For sure, i don’t have the stats but i have a feeling muskets dontnreally place very high in the “effective to use” in arenas.
Muskets really shine in max range becausebthe enemy cant get to before you do enough damage.
In arenas you have to really do a lot of initial damage and finish with rapier or finish/assist your groups kills.
when you talk about healers in opr you have two options, you can try to kill him and make him waste all the healing at himself, or you can just avoid it and find another fight without a healer to try and kill them, when i was playing i was used to fight 1v4 situations and sometimes even kill them all as a musket “meele”, but when there was a healer, even at 1v2 fights i just gave up and ran away
that’s the problem, the musket max range, i don’t feel using this shit, this kind of gameplay that amazon wants from musketeers shows no skill at all, it’s unfair for me and for my enemies.
i won’t enjoy a game that tries to balance pvp based on medium skilled players, i always get that feeling from amazon, that they want the medium skilled guys have the same impact as the high skilled ones.
Usually i would attempt to shoot healers while their zerg is pushing our zerg. This pressure slows down the zergs sustain and if they have thrown out heals to their team, that is the perfect window to start attacking them.
i even don’t used zoom at the musket because i only played at medium/close range with it, i was using the trapper build.
i’m sorry, your opnion as a biased healer doesn’t matter to this discussions whatsoever.
Im sorry you feel that way.
Time to accept the hard to swallow pills buddy.
Move on. This topic has been resolved and can be closed unless new information can be brought to discussion.
I beg to differ, but you can leave anytime if you feel that way
