First… let’s talk about the fact that FLAMESHROWER is an ability that’s been talked about hundreds of times on the forum, where players have expressed their displeasure that FLAMESHROWER is broken and that they don’t want to deal with abilities like this.
Now… how many times have players complained about INCINERATE is broken and should be nerfed? never xD It is a skill that works but has its risks, you will almost always receive damage from the enemy.
The change (Now only hit only once in the PTR) ruins it.
You always hear in AGS videos… “we’ve heard your suggestions…” so act like it.
Change the FLAMETHROWER: Make it last 2 seconds… or make it unable to move… or always have a CD (removing the passive)… or could reduce the scope.
There are so many things to do to the FLAMESHROWER. and don’t touch the abilities that they are fine and no one complains about them.
It seems that here you have to explain things twice xD.
First, I have 2 dps builds, one is with the fire staff, although I don’t use the flamethrower (because it’s boring). Because I have eyes to read, I know well that the flamethrower is always criticized in the forums.
So if in the forums the FLAMESHROWER is criticized by many users, and the INCINERATE ability is never criticized. Why does AGS come to the conclusion that they have to nerf INCINERATE and not make any changes to FLAMETHROWER? Is that listening to the community?
While the changes to the FS are going to make it look better in WARS and in specific OPR situations, ultimately they are just making the FS meta be to have 2-3 AOE abilities to throw at the Zerg and add numbers in damage for the board.
Spam AOE abilities on the zerg and the rest of the time just dodge or run away, until the end of CD and have the abilities again.
