So just reached 60 yesterday and have a few questions since I dont think the game tells you much on what to do after that
Expertise. So I reached that lvl 60+ area for a quest called shattered mountains and started doing some quests that give gypsum orbs, started using said orbs to turn into gear to increase expertise so I assume that is the main way to increase expertise solo?
So if you need gypsum orbs to grind expertise are there dailies that give you gypsum orbs or just the two you can buy from the faction vendor?
Any point in doing lower level elite areas? I remember seeing people go in elite areas for lower levels but what is the point if they are so low level?
Do armor perks stuck? For example if I want a void heavy build I assume I want void damage in all my armor pieces? etc
Any point to the faction armor? When you can very easily get ultra cheap 590 from the market to start grinding with?
How does crit multiplier perks work? You have 1.3x crit multiplier, a perk gives 11% more crit damage, does that mean you now have 1.41 crit multiplier or 1.333, is it additive on top of your natural crit multiplier or multiplies it?
Can you craft orange armor/weapons? Orange ones have an extra perk so I assume the goal is to have full orange but 3 perks of your choice which I assume the easiest way to get is via crafting
At what expertise level does OPR pvp become fun? I am quite experienced in mmorpgs so I know very well that many mmorpgs that chose to make gear matter a lot in pvp always lead to disastrous pvp experience for new players since they wanted to reward no lifers who grind all day by letting them one shot newbies, so I aint touching that until I am geared, at what level you stop getting deleted due to low gear?
Are there dps meters? How do you know if your personal build it decent enough for expeditions for example? To be clear I care very little about meta or bis, just want to know how close or far your build is from highest dps builds etc.
What consumables are used for endgame? As of right now I only know of stat food, blight/corruption resistance potions and the ones that increase your damage against certain types, what else is there that stacks with all those and is used often?
Is there a way to activate a secondary weapon skill without having to first change to that weapon?
Gypsum orbs are mostly for spot-leveling. Go with Jewelry first, then Weapons, then Armor.
There are a lot of dailies for gypsum
People do those for leveling up weapons and maybe for Territory influence
All armor perks stack, or are suppose to, except for the skill-specific ones (Sundering shockwave, etc)
Not really. Since you’re expertise is low those items will drop to halfway between their current level and your level
The math is out there, I’ve seen it but I don’t remember specifically
Once you factor in the ~6 things that help your crafting go up, you end up at 595-600. There’s about a 15% chance for it to go Legendary and get 3 perks
No idea, I don’t play them
I don’t believe there are any dps meters right now
There are many different ways to increase expertise but most rely on groups. There are 9 different Gypsum’s that can be acquired, totaling 14 orbs a day if counting Faction Store.
Obsidian Gypsum - 3 per day: Drops from level 60+ named creatures
Sapphire Gypsum - 2 per day: Defeating the final bosses of Genesis/Lazarus (non-Mutated) or Gen/Laz/Dynasty/Depths (Mutated)
Ruby Gypsum - 2 per day: Each Outpost Rush awards 1
Emerald Gypsum - 1 per day: Aptitude leveling reward
Citrine Gypsum - 2 per day: Arena completion
Amethyst Gypsum - 7 per day: Major/minor breach completion
Topaz Gypsum - 5 per day: Drops from any level 55+ creatures after using the Topaz Attunement Potion
Diamond Gypsum - 3 per day: Rewarded from Hidden Stashes (No Event) Gathering 1 from each Tent in towns
Garnet Gypsum - 2 per day: Completing 3v3 Arena’s, Each rewarding 1
See Above
I’d say with the new rework of not requiring orbs for dungeons, to try and spam Genesis as that typically yields more drops and increases expertise the quickest.
Not point in the faction armor if you can afford the gear on the TP.
Most armor perks do not stack and no weapon perks do. The only Armor perks that stack are the Damage Reduction ones (Resilience/Invigorated/Shirking Fortification/ect)
I’m not too sure about multipliers, Shirking fortification used to be multiplicative but it wasn’t intended and is now additive so I’d guess Additive.
Yes, you can craft Purple/Yellow items however I’m not sure if that’s the best way to get the best gear as the recent perk pool rebalance is still new
OPR right now imo is miserable no matter the GS or Gear unless you’re a Healer/Bow/Musket/Mage, Trying to play a bruiser in the current “meta” is a horrible experience. I stopped playing bruiser since the major bow update and heal now. Prior to the bow changes I’d say 560gs or so and also depends on your class and gear. Resil is a must for any class (melee especially)
There are no DPS meters or 3rd party add-ons that grant this functionality.
There are a few different types of consumables that’re used for PvP:
Oakflesh Balm: 10-35% Resistance to Physical Damage (Mostly used in Wars not OPR)
Gemstone Dust: 10-35% Resistance to Elemental Damager (Mostly War, Not OPR)
Honing Stone: 4-7% Increased Weapon Damage
Incense: 20-50% Resistance to all afflictions
You can only use the skill of the currently equipped weapon
Really nice screen. I didnt know about it, but helpful and easy to understand!
Changes on Ruby, now we can get 2 gypsum per day, not 1.
So far since summer patch we also get 6 diamonds per day, not sure if will remain the change after summer event.
Oh also faction NPC have for sell 2 Gypsum now.
