New character doesn't receive any achievements

I recently got back and created a new character on a new server. After a few hours of play, I still didn’t get any progress on the game achievements. As a matter of fact, they don’t appear at all in the Achievement tab.

• What is your character name in New World: Crassou
• What server/world did you experience your issue on: Orofena
• Describe the issue you are experiencing: I can’t get/see any achievements for the new character I created last week. The Character tab is just empty.
• Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
• (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: I can’t get any achievement, nor titles for my character.
• (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No. I tried verifying the games files : didn’t fix it. I tried reinstalling : didn’t fix it.
• (if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:

I’m really sorry about this issue you’re having with the achievements on your game, in order to help you with this i can advice you the following steps:

  1. Run a Steam Integrity check. Steam Integrity Check.
  2. Completely uninstall and reinstall game if not resolved after an Integrity Check.

Please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs to the support report, you can pull it following this steps:

DxDiag report:

  • Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
  • Click on dxdiag.exe.
  • When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.


  • Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\

This has been reported by many, many players since Day 1 and no one seems to want to fix it ?

Re-installing the game is bad advice for this issue. The other cut and paste response seems to be, thank you we will let the devs know.

Sorry to be negative here but we players have been reporting this issue since Day 1 and it is fairly clear no one is actually looking at this and popping on the developers fix list.

In this cases and with recurring issues the best way to approach them is by reporting on the bug section of the forum or creating support tickets so this can be reviewed by the team in charge of solving them, the support ticket is the fastest and most straight forward option to have this reviewed, I know it can sound like a copy paste but this option will always be the same so it can be felt like it.

Nor us at the forum nor player support will have the possibility to magically resolve the issue, we need to follow a procedure to do so and this is why we are here, to be the channel between the issue you’re experiencing and the team in charge or correcting those issues.

Many times the players consider that there’s no real resolution after reporting an issue but is completely the contrary, with every ticket and report on the bug section of the forum we’re all helping to have this solved.

Just to reiterate, this issue has been reported many, many times since Day 1 by many, many players in the forum (inc the bug reports section as below and indeed above on my original post) and support tickets. You can view these by using the ‘Search’ functionality.

I am sorry but comments like the below are not helpful.

We all understand procedures must be followed but I would say your internal procedures are not being followed. Where is this on any of the known issues lists ? Why has a Day 1 issue not being escalated ? Why is the standard response to an obviously server side issue to waste players time re-installing the game and so on.

No action by anyone at AGS is not going to magically resolve the issue.

I would say 1 year is pretty patient of anyone :rofl: at the end of the day this is just a game so we are reporting (as requested) an issue that will help improve the game :smiley:
