Not sure as to what it’s updated state will be or when, but it is currently available live.
Corrupted Champion - Creature - New World Database is the actual entry for this particular thorpe.

Just head to the location and start killing Corrupted. The quest will pop up on your screen and should be added to your quest list on the right side of your screen.
Follow the list of things the quest requires. I believe there are three groups you need to kill that will be tracked on that pinned quest. That will lead to the final spawn of Thorpe.

Yeah in the video it shows you where it starts at exactly, they’ll have a weird name over their head that looks like obvious coding / enemy assignment.

Event appears to be incomplete, drop table possibly not enabled for event. Looks like it’s intended to have something but has been published early?
Achievement ‘Master and Commander’ was received for beating Thorpe first time (so he shares some properties with Depths version)

killed thorpe a good dozen times and can confirm no loot table seems to be enabled. pity it is a good encounter.
EDIT: did also recieve achievement and new title.

Why would people not still be playing this? It’s a great game and tons of fun. Not everyone jumps to a new game when one comes out lol.
Weird. Just attempted it last night with two friends. It matches the description in the video. The name of the quest pops up onscreen and the progression occurs.
As an aside, we failed miserably. Not sure what we may have gotten wrong. The 65 gold elite that spawned wiped us pretty quickly.
Well I’m not saying you can’t do it. I just don’t think it was supposed to be on live servers yet.
