I just did the Varangian storyline and saw the new enemy types.
The named kite shield drop from Anton the grim looks the same as Ulfdar’s Determination.

I too encountered a Varangain knight and fire mage on restless shore road.
It was fun and challenging, because I was using a lifestaff I just picked up in that area and wearing my gathering gear-light armor.
