New Expertise System Feedback

In general the idea of this expertise system is good. Having a way to visually see your expertise level is a good thing.

However this system, will completely nullify crafting. What is the point in leveling up a crafting profession, such as Armoring to 200, doing all the hard work with countless hours, to be able to craft high GS items, to only have them be completely nullified to your “expertise” level. From how this dev update is worded, the only way to improve your expertise is to grind killing mobs.

This makes no sense. What about the people that spent hours and hours making their voidbent armor, to make the 600 GS item, but their expertise is 520. Its pointless. Absolutley pointless in crafting anything now. Not only to add that many of the higher tier items that you craft are all bound on pickup.

Please re-consider this expertise reduction for crafted items. It seems like a huge oversight. Can the crafting DEV teams and the expertise DEV teams start talking to each other?

One soloution, could be that crafting specific items, could help increase your expertise? Something along those lines…
