I enjoy the game but I’d be enraged if they wiped my progress clean

Much better compromise then an extreme over reaction like server wipes. 
A better option would be to phase out the old servers, as in no new characters created or allowed to join them pushing people to the new patched/fixed servers.
Who will be motivated to play when 400+ hours of gaming are wiped lol
I have 500 hours on this game, I would still play if they wiped. Because I know most of the upset with my current server is down to a two Marauder guilds who exploited most of their way to dominanting the server from day #1, they used gold transfers from streamers and americans who logged EU before their region unlocked, to ninja buy the entire map almost.
Sure, my faction has started pushing them back, controlling Everfall and really hitting a dent in their numbers. But exploiters will always be exploiters. They’ve taken advantage of every major exploit or bug, currently the hatchet bug to win wars easy - in order to push back their territories.
To top it off, one of these bugs was the infinite orichalcum vein exploit that got silent patched in 1.0.4. An entire guild nearly has full Voidbent less than 3 weeks since release. To anyone who truly knows how hard Void Ore is to mine, this is a load of bullsh*t.
Server wipe 100% I’m all for it.
I’m in favor of server merges and creating BRAND NEW servers. Let people who want a fresh start to do so, and those who want to keep their stuff in a dupe/busted server can do so as well.

Just find whoever done it, remove the items and ban them.
Wipe in a released game is just suicide. This is a beta thing.

If they wipe the servers I’m out and won’t be back. I haven’t exploited anything and you’re selfish to think it’s ok to just wipe my level 60. Get over yourself.

Youre right, this is beta thing, and this game is not even in beta state, its more like alpha tests.
As long as I dont have to re-grind all my gathering/crafting skills. Id be fine with a total wipe.
These sort of childish comments are not helping any discussion.
Anyway, on point of the discussion at hand. I would vote against server wipes. Just merge current servers as much as possible. Remove duped gold / items as much as possible and ban those who engaged in these activities permanently. Create fresh servers for those who want to start anew by their own choice.
I could have had full voidbent fairly easily at this point with out exploiting and doing everything solo though

Wiping isn’t a solution, they will just find another way to dupe items, then what? Will everyone start from zero again every time they find a new dupe method? What about my hand-made effort?
I’ve played many big MMORPG titles but I’ve never seen them having such a big dupe problem.
The problem is probably their architecture. They need to make items dupe-proof by design. Use blockchain technology maybe?
The solution is to wipe after all of the dupes are patched.
If your toilet is clogged, you fix the problem (ie fix the toilet being clogged) before wiping the bathroom floor.

Yeah, that’s a big NO for me. I have a limited time to play each day. I put most of my hours in during my quarantine at the beginning of Oct. If they do a full reset I will flat out quit. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would quit either. That will be a bigger impact on their game than just banning people cheating.
+1 for community pressure refunds , they need to learn from their pockets , no matter how much time u played and steam refund policy, they wasted all our time on alpha state game while lie its on ready state.

Shut everything down, try to salvage this mess and relaunch it in a year or whenever it’s actually ready. This is embarrassing.
It’s dead if they don’t. If they fix the things that are broken while they take down the servers and restart, at least they’ll have new players for the game, and the remaining loyal ones who enjoyed it without the exploits / dupes, and would again.
Unless you’re saying the majority of the players are the ones cheating, and that they’re the ones who would leave. If that’s so, then maybe you’re right.
