Hello, I know I said to no to beeing forced to a PVP open areas, however… this time I am not suggesting turning always PVP a existing area, but nontherless make a new one, or perhaps two, and I do suggest this new map, borrowing the desing and concept of another game that was PVE/PVP based.
The Corruption spreads, the factions want prestige…
The new map could be ambianted to the effects of the Corruption when they took a whole area, as they can be using it as a base of operations, the factions are afraid that the Corruption may end launching a large invasion and so they decide to attack before is too late , they decide also to attack to gain prestige within Aeternum, showing who’s strong and boss.
The new map can’t be claimed by no one and PVP will be always engaged except on the safe heavens of each faction.
The Corruption Stronghold and forts
The Corruption has lifted a Stronghold on the center or corners of the map and from there they host their legions and coordinate it’s attacks, also, no one can get intro the Stronghold if the forts protecting the Stronghold are on hands of the Corruption.
On the original game, there was 4 forts that granted access to said Stronghold, capturing 2 would mean acess, caputring 3 means access only for your faction, however, they were only ready to attack twice a day, wich is not necessary on NW.
NW can easily make the forts all time ready to conquer, with 3 factions and 4 forts, example:
Syndicate captures 2 forts
Maraduders captures 2 forts
Covenant dosn’t capture any.
On this scenario, Covenant can’t access the inside the stronghold, however, if they wanted, they could capture one Syndicate and Maraduder fort, so they can’t access any longer and Alliance have all free regin inside the Stronghold, as long they hold the forts.
PVP and PVE
Inside the Stronghold, handome rewards can lie to be plundered as the Corruption hoards them, patrolls roam the hallways while at least, one gate is protected by each faction, beeing their safe haven inside the Stronghold.
The original map wich I am basing this idea, was circular, with a inner ring and a outter ring with a chamber in the middle, players forcebly engage while they were looking for loot, it was the best map for them.
For PVE players, they can also try to find elite chests , and maybe the entrance of a dungerun , or if AGS want add , relics to exchange to gold.
I hope people like the idea, with my experience, that map was thirlling, you knew that your enemy was somewhere, was fun to PVP in grup and solo, also to find solid rewards that was worth the risk of beeing constantly chased, finding mobs to farm and chests to loot.
