My point
Sure, but New World isn’t overclocking the GPU. That’s what I’m saying. The game can’t force the card to be more capable than it already is.
No denying it is a heavy game though.
Thats not the case, if you kept the fabric cooler then it will always make noise. Its a very good cooler but with noise.
Thank you. I was going to explain that…but these days I don’t even bother anymore. People read something on social media or some whackaloon site…and it’s gospel.
EVGA confirmed it was a manufacturing defect…but Lord knows some twit on Reddit knows better than the manufacturer…
Strange world we live in. Logic is thrown right out the window…
people think computers are so simpel. xD
Maybe Im blind but I dont see much difference between low and high settings. Also my fps doesnt change that much at all low vs high, always capped at 60, 55 on avg. 1650 super, ryzen 7 3700x
I gain maybe 1-2 fps low vs high
that is quiet the CPU in comparison to your GPU
u would notice real change when u upgrade to a 30 series
You know what? It’s not only EVGA, there is a brand associated with an Alien
who swapped a decent amount of 3080’s even before NW was released.
haha can you imagine gpu was more expensive? I was fucked by the market, but I also didnt want to buy 8gb, my bill is saved. I never expierence lag but for savety I put low settings during war.
Ah nice, I’d love to run a custom loop around this rig…
Yeah I mean, it’s probably not even worth me running the OC in honesty. I drop 4-5 degrees if I run stock, and the OC is only giving me a small boost. Still, 67C at max (it commonly drops to around 62C when outside of towns) is well within spec.
CPU is all good, 3900XT hitting like 56C max on this game with an AIO and a hefty memory OC.
Yeah, its a graphical intense game.
It is not made for the weaker cards at all.
I have spend 1.6K on my watercooled GPU.
Not proud to have spend that much money on the GPU it self.
I have no troubles with performance while running this game or any other at ultra.
Everyone imo should spend some time watching videos on youtube on how to actually work with a computer, how to maintain it and how to tweak your settings.
i wouldnt go for a custom loop, as nothing is covered by insurance that way. unless u have a company doing it that grants u this insurance of their selfs. but thats highly unlikely.
i work with all AIO, due theres a warranty when liquid leaks. cant take any risks on a computer with expensive parts.
Sounds like you can run 3 windows of new world. haha I went full budget except for CPU which wasnt even necessary.
I have like 9 fans if you include the ones that are attached to gpu, cpu and power suply. 62C avg gpu, cpu much lower.
Here is my setup i am currently running new world on.
Ryzen 5 3600x 6-cores Turbo clock processor 4.6GHz
NVMe M.2 970 EVO PRO 2TB
SATA 870 EVO 1TB
AORUS GeForce RTX™ 3080 XTREME WATERFORCE 10G
H150i Elite Capellix RGB water-cooling with 360 Push/Pull setup
ETX850M power supply unit
4 x 8GB VENGEANCE® LPX DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz
ASUS TUF-GAMING B450 PLUS AM4 ATX
13 Magnetic LED fans 120MML 2400 RPMS
Yeah this isn’t correct. I’ve seen people like Jayz actually claim this and it’s now false information that’s just being repeated everywhere and we need to tackle this disinformation. The power draw of the card has nothing to do with how poor the game code is, that’s a complete myth for which there’s zero evidence, or reason to believe.
People saying this have remained really vague about what poor would mean in this context and what metric would be used to judge that. There’s been no analysis of the code to my knowledge to see if it would meet any of these criteria. It’s just a complete guess that it would be bad code.
If anything it’s more likely the opposite of this. The other apps that do a similar thing like Furmark are known to do so because they’re written to make the most efficient use of the GPU possible, by feeding it draw calls in such a way as to maximally fill it’s pipeline. So if your definition of poor is really just inefficiency and good code being efficient it would be more logical to assume it’s actually down to efficient code.
My performance is exactly the same
This one especially since it’s a single fan card. It has always been noisy at the best of times and I had some minor issues with it right out of the box with the fan not being screwed in properly and rattling against the sides. You get what you pay for I guess.
GPU usage on a 1080ti never goes over 73%? Sounds like there’s a bottleneck then. It’s not abnormal for a GPU to go 99% all the time while gaming, actually that’s the norm.
Amazon should fire all the devs immediately.
Each update there are more and more bugs appearing, and most of the bugs they claimed to fix still persist in game.
The resources are disappearing from rader when you join party in some cases.
The gear score in craft panel is displayed incorrectly when using any boosting equipment.
“You are leaving event” still stucks (at least it did yesterday)
Today they broken Fishing which was working perfectly fine before.
And the main concern of the development teams seems to be “how much processing resources should drop from chests?” xD
Honest question, are you trying to discourage us, then tell us that it’s a dead game and close servers after you already took our money? Srsly if you don’t use subscription model like WoW, currently in your best interest is to screw us all and close servers, are you trying to do that?
I have the same card but mine was fine and didn’t have any issues at all from the start. Not sure why yours did but glad a fix came in for those who had this issue.
