New player here: should I wait to get my first house in Brimstone?

Hey all, almost level 40 now after starting recently. I’ve been waiting to get my first house until I had enough territory standing (Lvl 20) in WW to be able to buy the T4 houses, at the 50% first-time-home-buyer rate.

However, as I just hit level 20 with WW, I’m wondering if I should wait to utilize that discount and purchase my first home in Brimstone? Curious to know what your thoughts are.

Thanks all!

I had 2 T1’s and a T2 (Only because EF made me T2) for the longest time. I only started upgrading from there because I had the spare coin and wanted the quality of life. Its still debatable, but don’t write off just saving your money and going for all T1’s. Unless you do a bunch of gathering/crafting and play the market a bit, then you don’t need the big houses.

That being said, you will 100% want to get 3 houses for the trophies eventually. You got 2 more spots left, there is no reason to wait for brimstone for the first.

It really depends on where you want your first house to be/which housing style you like best. With porting now extremely cheap (or free with control of the right fort), there’s no strategic advantage that I’m aware of related to where your houses are.

There’s a recent post on the forums with video tours of the Brimstone houses if you haven’t checked them out on PTR yet.

Personaly, the Brimstone houses don’t excite me. My favorite house locations are Ebonscale and Everfall (after the redesign, not now).

Brimstone Sands will require you to be level 60 (to get there) and have 30 territory standing if you want the T4 house.

I would suggest getting cheap houses before since you are level 40

Okay thanks! I just got my first house in EF  Just a little one. Appreciate it!

Getting higher tier houses in your desired zones is a long term goal you can set for yourself. I came back a month ago and have not had trouble with just 2 tier 1 homes while I save my gold and grind rep with the territories I want to buy higher tier homes in.

When the game launched having the right house, in the right zone was important because storage was a pain in the butt and fast travel was expensive. Storage and fast travel are much better now so you hardly feel the lack of a house unless you grind material 24/7 and don’t sell anything.
