New Player Opinion - 20 hours of play

This sounds weird.
Who blocked you ? And why ?
It looks like it’s not a problem in the game. Maybe it was your behaviour or…

I guess, It’s unrealistic to think that they’re going to develop this.

I agree with that. I would say that they actually bumped the number from 2k to 2,2k. It stills feels low. IMO What they need to do is to implement a cross-server architecture

I disagree with that. I find it useful. It really eased / improved the process of finding / creating a group. You can invite people to your lobby from their avatar in the group or from their H key contextual menu, and from their nickname in the chat. I find it pretty user friendly. But it’s not perfect. I would have preferred an automated group finder. This version of the group finder is a Manual LFG Tool. YOU are who have to find / create the group.

We all had to learn that I guess. As he will.

I find skins absurd… But hey, who am I to tell you what you want.

Upon a new account creation all accounts have a 72 hr trade and global chat restriction.

Until I hit lvl 22 I had no idea a Dungeon Finder was in the game etc.

I… don’t agree that the server cap should be increased all that much more… the world is really not that big. You already constantly see people everywhere you look (when servers are full), and it’s already hard to get a good gathering route going anywhere.

Once they add more land and gathering spots, I’d be fine with a cap increase. Or if there wasn’t such a big gathering bot problem.

Ah, now I understand, so it’s an anti-bot feature. I wasn’t aware of that feature. I’ve never experienced it.

Thanks for clarifying it to me.

I was running around doing some open world pvp… Why do am I penalized for pvping by paying for repairs? As a broke new player do you think I can afford to pvp? Why would the designers penalize something that is just super fun? Reminded me back in the UO days was so fun, until I realized all my gear was broke. I didn’t die from similar level people, but lvl 60s melting me. I’m okay with that, but I had a great time but couldn’t afford my repairs without going back to questing.

Yes, the amount of bots that would jump into the game and spam ads for hours until it got banned has been greatly diminished by this feature. As a long time player this feature was a great addition but they should add in an option for when you reach level 15 or something to be able to chat. Especially in the upcoming revamped story where they can take about 90 minutes.

I don’t know what the solution is but the net caught me, and my kids playing. Not to mention I’m a very economy driven person, and I wanted to keep my gear up to date every few levels. Just makes the game more enjoyable for me. This greatly hampered that, as I wanted to find people to make me stuff and just couldn’t do that.

This is good feedback. Hopefully they can make a change that can help new players, like a new player chat or something.

Literally one day of scrapping shit items from elite chest run or amrine dungeon and you gonna have enough parts for the rest of your game.

That’s not the point - if you want a cookie and your hand is constantly getting slapped. Do you continue to grab cookies? The answer would be mixed right? Some will, but a portion wont. That is the issue, pvp (world) shouldn’t ever have a drawback in this type of game. Since it’s not Full loot like UO, and the fact you have to respawn and run back in is enough of a drawback. The whole point of pvp is like common law, it needs to be as free as possible so the most amount of people can participate because its FUN. I played back when there was Server Wars etc on Ultima Online… I get it, that genre is long gone, and this game doesn’t need to rehash it by adding any drawbacks.

IMO parts system it’s not necessery, but trust me, last time when I was thinking about parts for repairing stuff was like year ago… Just play some game, and try to not die too often, and you will be fine.

if you play on dry tree i can give you some parts just to make you be quiet

What are you not getting? I dont want your damn replies, I’m trying to give thoughtful information for developers (if they want it). I think a good portion of the crafting system and the death system is just WAY over complicated. I maxed out most professions in Ultima Online and WOTLK and the repair system and crafting system SUCKS. The amount of resistance gear you need end game SUCKs. For a casual player this game isnt designed to be fun, but grindy with ridicuouls amounts of irritation. The arrow system is shit - I have to spend 500+g per expidition to cover arrows (making them is about the same or more) - solution? Just run a melee physical build and my cost is ZERO materials. Just tons of tons of random ass barriers that ruin the fun since I have to manage all these aspects of the game to just play. Are they a big deal for a lvl 60 with 600+ gear? Probably not, but my opinion is representing a new players perspective that has a shit ton of experience grinding mmos before 5 kids, and now with a family.

Quit replying I don’t want your opinion on my opinion. The devs in many videos have shown they read the forums

At about 100 hrs of play now and lvl 48.

Literally, you are like the first one complaining about repair parts. Like I said, just play some guy and get some and stop complainig. You are not giving any thoughtful information, you are giving us your stupid rage about stupid thing. What are you not getting? I can do that all day long. Just get over it, your problem is so silly, that everybody literally no gives a flying duck about it.

personally i think they should make Dungeon/Expedition Finder under lets say (as example) “P” button like many games have it under some button instead (chore walking like you are being punieshed because they didnt think of mounts (like normal game developers do think before they release the game or at least some form or easy transportation no like you have to be by shrine or city to teleport somewhere) to unlock first them on the map !

You have missed the more appropriate avenue for submitting feedback without discussion. In game there is a button in the esc menu to submit feedback, this is not exclusive to bugs. This is sent directly to the team. The forums are where you come with feedback you want to discuss that is then taken to the devs.

The games systems and the things the devs enact aren’t perfect. There is no catch all. They are however now using the most standard methods of filtering bots, which is indeed a soft-lock of global and trade channels.

The forum is called “game feedback” when you click that feedback button it sent me to the forums. I dont care if its a common strategy to combat gold sellers. I’ve never played a game that blocks chat like this - I started classic wotlk and it didnt block me from chat.

Its not my fault that new world has more gold sellers than players lol.

No one blocked him, I’m guessing new accounts have a time restriction from typing in chat to avoid not spam. Pretty sure this is what he is talking about

You don’t play enough of new world to understand why having more than 1.5k population in each of the server is terrible. Let alone more than 2k
Node… Node There is just not enough and the respawn time it extremely slow
Server lag, TERRIBLE stuttering in pvp, they are happening since day 1, and it still on going. Go watch a few youtube video to figure this out

The forums are exactly that, a forum for discussion. If that button brought you here that’s regrettable (I double-checked, mine opens an in-game dialogue box), but honestly, you had the option to post and then never look at it again. You instead opted to be defensive and combative.

Classic WOTLK and New World only have a few similarities, and approach bots and gold sellers on entirely different ideologies.

I appreciate that you’re giving valuable feedback on a number of points from early and mid-game, and a lot of people are missing that while citing an end-game perspective in response. Maybe next time, chose not to engage, it might prevent further skewing your perception of the game and its community to a further faux negative light.
