New "pvp only" Servers?

Over a month and you couldn’t get 500.

A PvP server would need to sustain an average of 1200 CC per region. Especially since there will be less whales interested in PvP servers.

Your petitions failed to prove you can sustain PvP server in a single region.

The topic in link was great! It proved to the community that forced PvP is niche in the MMORPG genre. And why the developers see no reason to invest time in it.

They would be better off creating a hardcore mode for existing characters to “rebirth” into and add more to the island that encourages rebirth. After All, it is what happens on Aeturnum. Why not allow players the mastery of rebirth?

the amount of bozos camping a spawm 24/7 unflagged says we need a pvp flag always on server option.

The only People who want Forced PvP are Gankers, Elitists, and those who play 18 hours a day.
No one wants their Gaming time dictated by Forced PvP. Forced PvP servers become Ghost Towns if you are not one of the 3 examples in the first sentence above in Italics.

Been that way for 35+ years of my gaming experience and it will not change.

Nah, I always run around harvesting flagged and there will be some unflagged clown stealing spawns id gladly fight over.

I want PvP servers and I’m not listed in your post. I’m not a PvP player and I want PvP players to enjoy their content amongst other PvP players, so they don’t get frustrated playing with a different player base and ofc visa versa for PvE players.

WoW you’re experiencing the opposite to me. I farm without PvP enabled and I can farm nodes that clowns PvP enabled are fighting over!…. :crazy_face:

Sorry but I made a mistake in my post. I’ve edited it, so not sure you still agree.

There always be low pop servers in each region, this is normal and is done purposely to make sure there is always room for more players (and because there isn’t a population balancing mechanism in place)

Lanka in SA East
Eridu in AP Southeast
Aukumea in US West
Frisoandia in US East
Castle of Steel in US East
Niflheim in EU Central

All of the above servers barely reach mean average of 1000 concurrent players at peak hours, some of them barely reach 100 concurrent.

Your assessment about whales is irrelevant given the existence of really low population servers

You obviously have no idea. If profit is not viable, then it is moot.

So if you have less whales populating a server, you need a higher population for smaller purchase chances to occur.

Since PvX servers in total are making profits, PvP server must do the same.

  1. Not enough hours in relation to continual profits.
  2. How toxic it was for the name.

This post broke my heart, I was really hoping for it on November 2nd.

I work 10 hours a day and I don’t consider myself in any of those and I still want a server with active PvP always. Killing the same bug but with a different skin, believe me, there is nothing entertaining about it.

I vote YES!

Restrict healers to healing one PvP player at a time ONLY!

Design it so that player formed groups can’t damage one another regardless of Faction.

Require 12 valuable death items, commensurate with lvl, to drop on death!

Get rid of safe zones except player houses!

Restrict portal use and logout timers if in combat mode.

If we get PVP servers it would be really nice if they had the flagging system Ashes of Creation is promising for their release. It is incredibly well thought through, and aims to create an exciting risk/reward game, but also prevent griefing.

I would LOVE to see a PVP server for New World with this system implemented!

New World the mmo with the best combat system, implemented in a very bad PVP system.
