with the recent server mergers there are no more “dead” us servers. with the upcoming brimstone update sure to bring many players back to the game, it seems inevitable there will need to be more servers added. one major hesitation many of my friends, who played the game for a short time at launch but quit due to the state of the game at the time, have is the feeling of being way behind the players who have played consistently since launch both monetarily and gear wise etc. i think adding servers at the release of brimstone that are for fresh characters only…no transfers in…would be great for those types of players. it would also allow people who never left to enjoy the changes to the early lvling experience that were discussed experience these changes on a fresh server. the previous economic imbalances due to the territory control system would not be a factor in such servers. of course to make this viable, a character slot addition would probably be needed for each region, as many players already have 2 characters in the regions they currently play.
I definitely agree! I made a similar post but you bring up great points about the existing economic imbalance and potential need for character slots.
this will never happen. not with a game thats on life support with less than 20k players worldwide and such a small ass server pop cap of 2k.
get over the crap release and play on existing servers or don’t

I can see that attitude in older and much more complex games like Path of Exile where there are OG Elite players. New World is still a new-ish game. There is no space for the Elite player attitude here.
i would like to be able to make more than 2 characters. even if there are not a bunch of servers if i can make maybe around 10? i can explore different builds etc. i have never seen an mmo where only 2 characters are allowed. most seem to be around 10ish
I think this would be cool for new players. You can leave them seperated for a couple months until they caught up fully to other servers and then open them up for anybody to join.
If they made a PvP server, people would come back. I don’t know if they’d stay, but you better believe they’d come back.
