The perk is likely to help ranged hatchet. Until blunderbuss it’s been the only ranged strength weapon. Try keeping your stam up while using thrown hatchet and dodging. It can be hard to do. It’s another subject but the thrown side needs a rework and this might temporarily help thrown hatchet until then.
And they arent just getting a grit on every single swing but they also got a perk that was solely made for this and give them a flat 12% dmg increase. So not just being immune to 90% of the thing but also have a 12%dmg increase with 100% uptime.
I already knew it was coming. However, that video already proved a point ive been annoyed about is spear can restore stamina too easily, and with the new perk its just over the top. Ive always felt the stamina regen on spear should have an internal cooldown just like ice gauntlet has but the perk itself should either just be downright removed or give less stamina (10-15 max).
Right now the I-frames and amount of fortify you can get is just ridiculous
they didnt bump up the damage potential to coax people into the other tree.
it should of been obvious from the start that nerfing a few cooldowns and leaving the blood tree alone would result in it become only an escape stick for everyone.
yes there are ways to make it work but the work required (though fun) isnt worth it outside of duels and very small skrims.
we are going to see where everything falls once 3v3 comes out.
See, after all the outcry, now all DEX have almost-unlimited mobility. Much as the STR have perma-grit and the best overall and most effective combos.
I see nobody on the upcoming wars changing the meta from STR-CC to DEX-Evade.
Nobody, absolutely nobody, will call “everybody roll and i-frame on the A point now”. AoE CC Combo fest will keep going, now they have to take care of not getting stabbed in the face by a spear/rapier.
I don’t understand why you can’t bear the idea of having a counterclass when AGS made everything possible to make heavy bruisers the jack of all trades for every situation, hence the current meta, that’s not apparently changing much.
Its just all of pvp honestly at this point is stale and feels like AGS can’t balance it properly. Probably wont see anything really worthwhile in PvP change like wars till end of the year imo at the earliest. At that point, people will already have left or waiting for the next big MMO to drop.
war will never change. not because of any specific weapon but because its a massive battle and with soo many people clumped its always going to be about AOE cc or damage
grav well IG, fire balls and pillars.
start adding phalanx, cover, better siege and a much larger map and things like change.
the state of pvp balance might change in 3v3 and 5v5 but thats going to be a little while away. even when 3v3 gets released its going to be months before they decide to balance things and even then its probably going to fail for every other aspect of pvp.
but im calling it. 3v3 is going to be a lot of dex weapons and a healer or paladin build. probably.
