Your suggestion can be anything but new. Anyway, not gonna happen.
Why? What do you think will change?
The same “people” who nerfed mages and buffed axe will do the same thing 6 months later too.
They need to be sacked and capable people should be hired. Even then it will take time to fix the game, assuming it is fixable.

That is not a new suggestion, we had this before in the forum. Most active players are not patient enough for ideas like this. I sign it though. The current state and progress seems to lead in a certain direction…

Ok, so it sounds like you are addicted to this game and will be very sad if it would close down. This makes for a biased opininon and a compromised argument.
Anyway, I argue that a relaunch is not a terrible idea.
Since launch New World has been a mess, and has ultimately been exposed as a game in development, aka BETA state. For AGS to take the game down, work hard on it for a while, then do a relaunc would display a certain investment towards longivity and quality which are two important aspects when it comes to holding on to your playerbase. The players that are leaving now are not going to come back unless something big happens, they most certainly wont come back in 6 months and hope for a big improvement. This kind of mentality is what is going to execute a game like this, a game that is allready dying quickly.
I myself have spent 200 hours in this game, and its an ok game, but Im going to quit now, as it is simply not worth my time. For players that are still enjoying the game, good for you. But at the rate of which this game is losing its playerbase, I think its safe to say that it wont be enjoyable for much longer.

Easy solution, you leave the game for 6 months
If you think the outrage is bad now then you have no idea the level of anger that would happen from shutting down the servers for 6 months. Then you’d have the majority screaming and not just the loud minority (that always say the same things for every game).

Yea, that wont help one bit, they basically developed this game on the mindset of we know better then you, the exact same flawed mindset that is gutting Blizzard entertainment from the inside right now. AGS needs as much player feedback as possible right now or they will continue to patch in only what they think this game needs, nothing that will actually save it though

lol, they need this anymore :)) i think you didnt see last mistake ? many people received 300k 400k 500k gold couple minutes ago and all of them spend gold in Auction house…
Ain’t nobody gonna come back to this if it has to relaunch like ARR.
FFXIV was a straight up dumpster fire. The game play itself was horrendous.
The retainer thing instead of an auction house was literal dumpster diving.
This game mediocre but not NEARLY as bad as xiv 1.0.
This game is fixable without a tear down
6 months seems a stretch, I honestly just think they need a week or two off to refuel and hire some additional developers. Updates can’t be pushed out at what you consider “night” because for others it isn’t, for others it’s the only time they’re able to play through the week because of working evenings.
Further more, they just need to utilise an existence infrastructure… the PTR! Wasn’t this it’s sole purpose? Yet it’s seen 1 stint and been brushed under the rug. All updates should be QC, pushed to PTR and vigorously tested by the community for a 2-3 days prior to being pushed to live.
U know server was offline 3-4time today right? So don’t show a screenshot like that , stop being like a toxic kid.
And im agree they should turn off server’s for few day /max 1week to fix this problems.

There is 0 evidence that they could improve the game in 6 months of 1 year.
Most likely it would get cancelled for good.
They did work alot for the big patch in December so im fine to stay and see they can finally figured out how to fix stuff or not. I wish they will.
