Okay, so I was at the back end of a world tour on Castle of Steel this morning. I noticed something weird and had to record it.
This cheater was controlling multiple characters, and they were all different factions and were in different companies. But they were wearing the same clothes.
Is this some new cheat? I have never seen this before.
I just wanted to post this here so people are aware!
Now, this is NOT the whole video, I trimmed it so I don’t go public with anyone’s name.
But I do have a video I can send to the Devs if they need it. @Luxendra@Aenwyn
Saw that type of bot in Orofena while at Malevolence, couple of months ago. Guild was farming the boss and an entire group of five rezzed in, one person moved first, then each in its place did some type of dance/pull weapon action-one after another, then two did two different actions at the same time.
We watched them farm the boss, then reported them.
Bots following a main controller can be seen harvesting wirefiber up in northern edengrove. Same style of pattern, and varies from 2 to 5 scripted bots.
In another game, those are scripted pets that pick up your loot.
Multi-Boxer, this was a problem in WoW as well. It didn’t go against blizzards standards but they need a 3rd party program to run which should be bannable. The fact that the person bought 3 accounts though will more than likely be allowed by ags because they are making money off them. Hope they get banned. Not a fan of multiboxing
I would very much like to see AGS take some kind of stand on bots other than let us report them and it gets filed in the round recycle bin. I gave up reporting bots the same ones I report are there day after day after day. Since the official announcement of Brimstone Sands bots on my server have gone absolutely through the roof. They want to increase sever pop sizes well guess what already nothing to farm its all take by bots that looks like ants moving across every node. Increasing server size will really strain it and everyone will quit again as fast as they came back because you can find a dang thing. TLDR Bots win we are screwed for mats…
As people mentioned. This is not a bot. This is one real player controlling multiple characters ( which he bought multiple game instances for ) at once.
Multiboxing has always been a issue in every mmo ( especially WoW just go and look 40 man multiboxers farming whole camp spots empty) as you cant really force them out because they legaly bought the game itself.
The only way is to block the software that allows them to control multiple characters at once which seems to be not easy when WoW cant do it already.
