New world 2023 roadmap ideas?

Just no, the reason why battle pass works on FPS games is because the skill is largely FPS based. Everyone has an equal chance, this is unlike New World. Everything is based on gear for NW and making battle passes like that will make this game P2W

It literally is not pay 2 win if everyone has a chance at the same gear. Screw gatekeepers.

Its just a thing ive been adding on to for a while but many of the ideas have been given a lot of consideration to appeal as a pvp quest with pve capabilities to maintain relavence when the games popularity dips below a certain amount and the current missions arent very engaging. These ones will still be relavent. Though i suppose there should be some kind of interval attacks by npc’s on the road ways for convoy but that could easily be implimented by adding enemies on the road ways like in ebonscale

Umbrals are pretty thick on the ground now via gypsum. Once you get a single slot to 625 it really accelerates.

I hate expertise/orbs/umbrals entirely but it is much better than it was.

I sincerely hope you never get your wish on the battlepass. Its a blight on the gaming world

  • Customizable/More Ranks
  • Company Activities. PvP and PvE
  • Company Housing

Yeah but you’re assuming that everyone wants to pay $10. I don’t want to pay $10 more than I already have for this game. Maybe for cosmetics but for a monthly battle pass? Hell nah.

Ok I didn’t say monthly. Usually it’s quarterly. And if it gets you enough currency to buy the next one its only ever 10 dollars.

If brimstone costs money are you just not gonna buy it?

That’s a huge IF. In a business perspective, are you really gonna let them earn the next battle pass without spending some more money? Of course not. What’s the point in making that system if the business owner cannot make money off of it.

Even if it did, am I gonna grind everytime a new battle pass comes out? What if I needed a longtime break due to IRL responsibilities? What then? I need to pay more money to get the next battle pass? I just don’t want this system in this game as all other games have done something similar to this. Fortnite, CoD, and Destiny 2.

That’s a totally different thing though and not a valid comparison, expansions I’m fine with.

Where’s transmog

When people say transmog, im thinkin they are saying they want to make armour sets that have the stats of others, but look the way they want it to look. These people are playing for the vanity of their avatar which isnt a bad thing, but in the current state of the game it needs a solid game loop that is entertaining. Currently the game isnt, while its a social game and much of the fun relies on that fact, this is a problem because the single player aspect isnt strong enough to maintain player retention when new games come out and players drop for periods of time or indefinitely as they have. Transmog is a system that yes can be an automatically fixed issue with good coding though im not quite convinced that ags would care enough to put in the time to impliment that properly considering their group finder product was such a huge hit. What could be done is a rework on their missions to at least be more entertaining if they put five minutes before making a mission to consider the players reaction to the mission they were going to write. This could be multiplayer game modes under the fascade of a simple mission. Which would be great if the mission was to attack an enemy camp populated with npc’s which could be bolstered by enemy players who have a chance to pick up an opposite mission where they have to defend an item before its picked up and or destroyed or tampered with. This would set at least a solid standard for difficulty and could be amplified based on player population and participation but at least there is a known threat level to start with.
Currently the go here and wait or pick up item and deliver it, model isnt working for people. People arent looking forward to any repeticious faction missions, they arent looking forward to town board missions. Many arent even entertained by the story missions or side quests because they are essentially all the same. Pretty sure there are only a small few missions that slightly play differently, but you can probably count all of those missions with one hand and even then they fall short of a good delivery as a story telling stand point.
Which is pretty dissapointing because many multiplayer games have a repeticious loop that is entertaining that feel unique in the execution of each game match. The draw being fun and excitement. Many people dont remember turok for the xbox but it had a fun gimmick where you could agro chaotic hostile dinosaur npcs into enemy bases where they would turn the tables of battles in a fun way, battlefield has a large multiplayer map that feels as close to an open world as it needs to be and executes its tug of war style territory war very well and plays much like opr but the siege weapons are far too costly for them to be viable in most cases and ofyen leaves the operator excremely vulnerable to ranged attackes rendering them useless making opr a simple melee territory war. This is obviously a flop as a design issue where developers could improve the seige equipment to make them relevant again but until then its a footpads war only by design and not a very fun one either.

Paid expansion:

New OPR maps (add indoor or covered elements to OPR)
Open World Bosses that are hard to get to without large parties
Open world or instanced raids with large groups of people
PVP leaderboard and more PVP incentives
Battle Royal PVP mode
Overhaul to War system
1v1, 5v5 and 10v10 arenas
Arena tournaments

  • Add Raids ( PVE Content / PVP Raid UI Frames )

  • PLEASE FIX Weapons not swapping because of being doing basic or heavy attacks. The game MUST interrupt your attack and swap the weapon with preference. AKA. Immediately.

  • Add new dungeons. In new maps.

  • Add new game modes.

  • Remove RNG from Crafting. Let us completely decide what we craft.

  • Add new lvl cap (ie. to lvl 80) with player new progression challenges, like the GS mechanic, just a different thing, not GS anymore.

  • +1 for Cross-server architecture on PVP and PVE. (Or else, this game is dead.)

625 is already the max gs they should ever have for lvl 60. if they want to increase gs they need to raise the level cap. Increasing gs only creates a bigger gap between fresh lvl 60s and those who played alot and makes PvP less played or not played at all by the new players. Bad idea.

650 gs with lvl 70. Sure. But as long as max level is 60 they shouldnt raise the GS ever again.

This, an new pure healing weapon like life staff.

-Public dungeon: Large underground metropolis map where all factions can group up and fight for resourses and kill large bosses, which change places randomly daily.
Public dungeons is pvp zone, all factions teams can fight eachother for territory standing and rewards.
