I would really enjoy a NW API. I am mainly putting this here so that someone can reply to this when they finally release one (OR when someone finds a way to get this data without an API). I mainly want one so I can get access to the data of the trading post so that I can create my own interface. The current one just sucks. I also want to be able to do some sort of data analysis on it. Would be a great project for a portfolio.

Yes please. A way to get live TP data from any given server (or restricted to ones you have chars on via some form of OAuth or similar authentication) would be sweet.
Also an add-on API so we can fix the UI to look like we want is a really important missing feature. The UI is a mess at non-standard resolutions, so if you’re not gonna fix it, provide us the tools to fix it ourselves.

It would put all the traders that do not use external tool at a disadvantage.
Improve the in-game trading post interface instead.

I agree, they want to use third party programs to calculate data of pricing on the market to see how to make money off of unsuspecting people, all because its not easy to use the market interface!
