Hi, we played NW for a while now, more and more players leave the game. A major problem is PvP, Wars and the lack of fun and demand in Outpost (only 5 players can join from one company).
Well, I don’t want to start with flaming or what is not working. I would like to give you an idea how to maybe make it better.
Wars | Gear Balancing – Faction Gear (Armor, Weapons, everything) only
-
Make wars only playable with Faction Gear
-
Give players the ability to always change perks of the War Faction Gear
-
Increase the GS of Faction Gear for WARS to 625 (3 Perks – more diversity)
-
Faction Gear (maybe a special War Faction Gear) should only be usable in Wars
Goal is to bring a real/natural balancing to wars. At the current state of the game, it’s impossible to win a war against a company holding even only one major city for a long time. They have so many coins, they can craft everything. They will also be able to grind mutations even more often because they can just buy everything, they need to craft the keys. Grind, gear, coins and luck (luck equals coins again…) wins a war in NW not skill or tactics. If gear is balanced for wars thes fights will be balanced again and they will make fun!
Wars | Lags & Bugs
Lags are a serious problem, fix these or reduce the number of players to 40/40 – whatever helps.
Bugs and bug abuse are also very serious problems. Ice Gauntlet is buggy, just fix this or disable the whole weapon. Implement an interims fix. Don’t wait for weeks – you lose players!
Wars | Declare a war
Implement a better way to flip a city / declare war. Be creative… Create an event like an outpost rush / a mini-war to declare a war. There are no real open PVP fights in NW anyways! Everybody want’s wars but flipping a city sometimes takes hours, it sometimes does not even work (buggy). Don’t forget if you play against a company with unlimited resources is again pointless to fight the war. They roll over you because their gear is so much better. The introduced need for PVP runs (buy dungeon keys) will soon drop again and players / companies are not motivated to declare a war because the loss is plannable like described before. You will lose players, you will not have a lot of players left to make the PvP runs efficient…. again, you lose players. Goal should be: Declaring a war should be “fun” and be a planned event for a company.
As mentioned, use an event (mini-war at fort / outpost) instead of stupid PVP missions…
For example for a mini-war:
-
3 attack rounds 10 to 15 minutes each and again Faction Gear only!
-
Fight only against the fort - no capture points!
-
If required external companies can sign up for this event and help fighting/flipping.
-
Keep the random war declare if multiple companies are involved in these events.
-
If a company wins such a random war declare selection it should not win the next one.
-
If for example 3 of these mini-events were won by the company holding a city a war will be declared anyway – rolled between the companies trying to flip an area.
As an alternative: Use a modified outpost to be able to declare a war.
You can also leave the PvP Quests and add both options – mini-war and modified outpost.
Again, GET RID OF THE PVP Runs… Stupid a hell and waste of time – no fun at all!
Outpost Rush in general
Right after the server merges everybody played outpost rushed… but now the number of players is down and the queues goes up. Bring the ability to let companies join an outpost rush with 10 or 20 players. This brings some competition to OPRs… not these stupid 5 people groups running around like chickens. Again, balance the weapons like Destiny 2 does. Make a monthly event (again like Destiny 2) where players can fight with crafted gear too. Or make two queues | balanced & crafted. Introduce ranked Outpost Rushed with crafted gear only for example. There are so many ways to make this interesting. Start with the ability to join with your company and bring a balancing to the gear so that also outpost rushed do make fun and are demanding. Maybe it’s sufficient if you add outpost rushed to flip a city like suggested before. Maybe already this helps.

Take care about this post too and maybe consider just s.th.:
