New World Crashing my GPU - EVGA 1080 FTW

I have a performace issue with the 1660Super. No more then 50FPS in the low settings. My config is able to run the game in Full Hd Very High Settings and it’s having problems to run it in 720p low settings. In others games, everything fine. I contacted the support and they said to me to send some logs to the support e-mail and they’ll contact the game developers.

Everything up to date. Drivers, SSD, Windowns…

Hello @spazem

Thanks for your answer, I wanted to clarify that this issue is still under investigation and we do not have an official response on a solution

Its not just the 1080 EVGA, many other brands and GPUs are facing issues.
Even 3090s are experiencing it.

My 30 series card is having this issue but my 1080Ti is working fine, there is something triggering a lot of cards which needs to be resolved.

Is the main problem being fixed only effecting EVGA 1080s? Because I have a Gigabyte 1080 and facing the same issue.

My friend has a 970 and has the exact same issue. black screen, sound and discord still running.

rtx 3090 gigabyte, losing signal from gpu. happend 5 times so far. everything is fine. no idea whats going on with this game. 4 houre que time, played 2 minutes and black screen.

Nope also happening with a Gigabyte RTX 3090

I have a Gigabyte Aorus 3090 and the game now crashes just before the Amazon Games Logo plays, blank screen, fans 100%

It did this initially on day 1 but somehow stopped, after 8 hours playing today the game crashed and I’ve been unable to stop it crashing at this point every time now.

I’ve updated the Bios, everything else is up to date. Not sure what to do next. All my other games continue to work fine.

What’s interesting is thiat New World doesnt seem to make the GPU as hot as other games - the fans don’t run anywhere near as hot as when running Valheim for example.

I’ll wait a performance patch. I’m afraid of lost my GPU playing the game. My zotac 1070ti goes really stressed playing the game on the actual state.

My game is freezing and I am using the Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti

Critten, I have a X299X Xtreme Waterforce (the limited edition motherboard, 1000 units were made). Since this motherboard is extremely rare, I cannot play the game, because the big b0ys@EAC haven’t allowed it to run. It does not have a proper serial in the correct register so they can hardware ban you, etc… Same with my wife’s CPU. The game won’t open because EAC can’t get the ID’s for the mentioned hardware.

Luckily you can play with your 3090, since the ID’s and such are probably provided by nVidia Drivers. I’m out of luck. Two copies of the game, can’t play.

Happend also to me.

My Nvidia GTX980ti died. First black screens, now permanently dead.

I’m sad and angry.

I got the same problem using a gygabite 1660 super/i5 9400f.

I have the same issue with a ZOTAC 1080 ti !Extreme

I have an Nvidia 880M GPU, which only supports 60FPS without overclocking (assuming you even can), though I have noticed the hardware get warm even when capped. Thankfully thus far, I have had no hardware failures.

As a cursory recommendation, I would suggest all users set “Shadow Quality” and “Terrain Quality” to Low, as these elements tend to fluctuate most whenever the game is rendering new geometry in the distance, or when players Fast Travel to a new location.

Hello - Just wanted to add that my computer has the same issue and I have sent logs over to support. EVGA Geforce GTX970 SC. I have tried most of the suggestions already in this post with the issue still occuring.

I have the same problem with gtx 1070, I don’t know why but I have nothing in logs and in event viewer.
My specs from logs: https://pastebin.com/yKs9fWi3

Just wanna say i have the same issue, so im unfortunately glad that im not the only one having it. Just makes the game unplayable. I can go a few hours without it happening or 15 minutes.

Edit: I have the EVGA Geforce GTX 970 gpu
