New World Crashing

I have 120 hours played on New World and now the game is crashing intermittently (anywhere from instant after login or 20 mins later).

Crashes range from just the game crashing to complete blue screen.

Have only been able to retry launch a few times as queues times are extreme.

I have tried the following with no change to the issue:

  • Clean reinstall of graphics drivers
  • Clean reinstall of New World
  • Increased Virtual Memory
  • Capped FPS to 60 (both in game and via Nvidia Control panel)

My rig:
Ryzen 7 3800x
32gb 3200Mhz G.Skill
1 TB NVME
Gigabyte x570 Aorus Ultra
Gigabyte white O.C. RTX 2080
750w BeQuite PS

Windows 10 Pro x64

Have not seen any thermal issues or spike prior to crash.

Frustrating, as I really am enjoying the game but currently it is unplayable…

Yeah same thing is happening to me. Been playing everyday since launch but since 10/4/2021 it started freezing a couple minutes into the game. I made a post about it already and even contacted amazon games support. They said they have a ticket made about the issue so we just have to wait for an official dev response.

what version of windows are you using? did you update to 11?

Thanks a lot for the reports. Im sorry for any issues you got. We are aware for some issues after server reboot or maintenance. Please check the server status at Server Status | New World. If for any chance you have issues, please. Steam Support :: Verify Integrity of Game Files in order to Verify Integrity of Game Files. Then wait for 15 minutes and try to go back to the game.

Don’t want to offense you standor, but please, read the amount of thread about this crash happening since last update, for most of us, we ALL already do EVERYTHING amazon said, and it didn’t work.

Can we have a real update on this thing ? we just cannot play to the game in this condition, this is a critical bug, and we need some real communication about those freeze/crash : Is AGS working on it ? do you know what is the issue ? do you have a fix ready ? push soon to a patch ? need two more week ? we need update.

Hello @Aherys Im sorry for the issue you have, I know this might be frustrating, however, did you tried again to run the file verification? After maintenance some files were updated and even you have the option to do a patch from Steam, some files might be missing on the process and thats why Steam has the option to run a verification process. You can also share the logs you have and screenshots from your case as well the computer specs in the reply of this answer.

Yeah i already try but… probleme is solved.

I let the game freeze and it unfreeze, and magically, it stop freezing now.
Same for friends, i notice it come from people in the range of 48-55 level, and no for people outside this range, can it be linked to this ?
