AGS should start hiring people that actually care about the game like you! lol

lol

Overall, I think AGS did a pretty job at resolving incidents as they appear. Don’t that the dev team is to blame for all the issues. It’s never about just one team in a big company and AAA titles

This is far from a AAA title at this point unfortunately.

Thanks for your kind words!
They are really important for such a marathon like we have.

Also, I’m pretty sure that guys from AGS also need to hear it from time to time. Damn, most of the posts here and on Reddit, and in all other places (in 99% cases) something bad and almost never balanced vision of the situation, but biased “everything bad is ruined”.
In fact, the game is pretty cool and I like it so much! And this drives me to continue work on it for months already!

At the end of the day it hooked all of us

The game is amazing from so many perspectives. I think solely dupers contributed to 80% of negative emotions related to the game, not the reason that something is totally broken in the game. While many things were… not ideal, each patch always solves a BIG bunch of issues raised by players

Yea, don’t get me wrong I was loving the game but it was still far from a AAA title from the start, I just hope they are able to recover from all the BS before it’s not even worth having it installed anymore. Really wish they would have just went early access, then at least there would be an excuse for all the “Dropping of the Ball they have done!”

While in most aspects I prefer to defend the AGS team (just coz there’s almost no-one else to defend them) and coz I know that in many cases issues come not from the dev team, but from management, or business overall. Because top hype right now. Because they counted the money. Because they are afraid that the best time could be missed. And so on. This may piss off hardcore players who invested a lot of time (which is inflated right now coz of dupes) but there’s no way for the dev team and management team to disagree to comply with C-level decisions.

I think even devs themselves would prefer to go with early access. But they will never tell you because of NDA, because business, because… As usual

That’s just our life and pretty standard business process, even though for many players those games are almost second life (for many it’s more first life, coz more time spend in their world, but there’s no way to evaluate it from business PoV)

Those guys are really awesome! Following their updates for many weeks already, best website about New World!

Not yet!

We discovered this change will be included in today’s update with everyone else when patch notes were posted. Soon (no latter than tomorrow) checkbox will be added to notify calculator that you’re farming while PvP flagged

Use the crafting calculator every day. Thanks for the hard work you’ve put into this.

This website quickly became a permanent tab in my browser ever since I found it shortly after the game’s release. It’s my main source of information for all items and crafting and it just keeps getting better. The ability to see a breakdown of all resources required to craft a certain amount of items and how my skill level impacts the result is just too good, it became an integral part of my crafting experience. I’m looking forward to see everything the team has in store for us as the platform evolves with the game.

But there’s still a bunch of improvements required for the crafting calculator (they are mentioned in the topic). Hope we’ll manage to deliver them all within 2 coming weeks

Thanks for your support!

Instead of bumping i actually have some feedback for you:

I really like the design of the lists, with the icons and all the Information you want easily visible. The icons are eye catcher, just helping you search. Definitely one of the better looking lists.

The navigation on the top then looks rather clunky and the “Back” button does not actually do anything for me. Very unfortunate, when im trying to get an overview over the services.

The Luck calculator definitely one of my favourite things. immediately bookmarked it.

So yeah improve the navigation by a ton, everything else is really good man. One suggestion would be to add a Tooltipp to the Items in the Database, which shows you roughly where you can get them. That would be super handy. For example I hover over the Weaponsmith items and it just shows me who drops them.

If that was a thing I might even turn off my ad blocker for you

Joke and bumping went too far

There. No. Ads. Turnoff adblocker and verify by yourself

We’ll return back to work on info about where from (or from whom) an actual item drops. And we’ll add a map to that info at some point. Thanks for such good feedback, please, stay tuned!

More updates to come!

Hey @maddinii !

Just started investigation what’s wrong with the back button and… It works! I mean, I tried different scenarios, and it always works as expected! Maybe you found some rare bug? The time you spent investigating the website is much appreciated!
Could you please have another look and, in case the back button doesn’t actually work for you, could you say what you did prior to it stopping working?

This makes me sad when some part of the website doesn’t work for one of our users and I’m not only able to fix it, but even couldn’t reproduce it!

Well, not just sad, but it drives me crazy actually! It would be a pleasure for me to fix that bug for you, but for now looks like it’s impossible without repro steps.

Just tested this again. Can confirm, when I navigate to the Link myself it does work as intended. Bug only occurs when I follow the Link of somebody else.

Maybe there is like a cookie, that I dont have because its the Link of somebody else? Im not sure what is happening. Only thing I can guess is, that is saves the path where you came from but does not have a “standard” to this, so it just does nothing when there is no way back.

What I expected to happen was, that I click on “Back” and it just brings me to the overview of resources. But yeah you are right, if I navigate myself it does work. Just not when I follow a Link.

Wow, big-big-big thanks for recording the video! This explains a lot together with comments regarding expected behavior.
For now, this behaves just as “back” button in your browser. So, if there’s nowhere to go “back” on the history of the website - it behaves like it doesn’t work.

But where you’re especially right - this shouldn’t be the browser’s “back button”. It should be “Back to the category” instead. Update will be made and live during today, not so hard to do (at least looks like)!

If there’s anything else regarding small details, please, feel free to drop a message! That’s crazy that no one else didn’t mention this improvement before.

Thanks once again!

Burnout is a thing, watch out for that man. I would not consider this important enough, to jump on it immediately

One thing I could give you is about Hotspots for fishing. However this would require a lot of work and fishing level 200 (to see all the hotspots).

So the thing is, it actually matters how deep the water is. For example you will catch a lot more (like a lot lot more) clams in “very shallow” water, then in “deep” water. Having this Information on the Fishing hotspots would be a game-changer.

Also just noticed, that the List for fishing hotspots does not actually tell you in which zone they are. What I do like is the Tags, when you get lost in the list, it shows you the tags of where you can catch which fish. Thats huge. Just need to make the list a bit more obvious  Again a navigation thing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to all of this. So yeah definitely a good website, really like it. Especially the small details on the lists, it just makes it so much easier then other websites. It even gives me a Tooltipp when i hover over the perks, pretty insane.

You know what would be really insane to?
So between the list and the navigation on the top (basically where you have the sorting system for Tier, Rarity, etc.) If there was like a hidden spoiler for crafted Items, similar to how the weapon build calculator works, that would be huge.

So for example I am looking for a weapon and I am like okay I cant find it, so I open the hidden box and it gives me options to select resources etc. and what I want to craft. Just giving me an Idea of how many resources I need to craft this weapon so even if I dont get the Information I came for, I would still leave the website with a positive experience, because I got something else that helps me out.

I’m not working on it with a best friend, not solo, so it’s much easier to handle when one could help another

Hotspots on the radar, but for much later date, somewhere in December-January. Definitely not before

Something to investigate, haven’t experienced it myself yet, but some data should point in that direction. In case there will be something found to help people understand what helps with what (e.g. some specific baits also may increase the chance of some specific fish to catch) - info will be added

Thanks! We work hard on it since August

Didn’t get that point, what is the purpose of that spoiler? Sort by experience or what?

There’s no way to “not find” some item from the game. There’s literally ALL items from the game, coz this is only possible way to keep the website a real database about the game
