well, all eu servers have been upgraded to 2200 slots. And 3 out of 6 is locked and the lowest que timer is at 18 minutes
We could use channels instead of servers.
Have each server have let’s say 2-3 channels initially. So the resources won’t be abused too much but still have more players able to play. With the usual cap of 2k per channel that means way more activity in general but without any of the lag that throwing more people on brings.

They forced 2x + as many people onto the server and gave it a 10% cap increase…

Servers need a lower pop cap if anything. They can barely handle 2k. For sure doesn’t need increased.

The game map isnt designed for more than 1.6k in reality.
The node spawn, mob spawn, and density becomes too much to handle above that.
Add wars and invasions and then you’re in for a rough ride.

This game is constantly crashing and kicking with lag detected it absolutely cannot handle an increase in server cap. There is almost no one that believes your idea will work.

Don’t care about your idea of thinking high pop is great, some of us have played since day one and ques don’t do it for us. A few overly loud people like your self have made this game unplayable by going against what the majority actually wants, most don’t want 2k pop. If they did want it they could transfer, we should have never been forced to be in high pop to appease people that could have solved the problem them self.

Higher pop is horrible.
Best pop range is around 1200-1500 max. Keeps a good economy, 3s and OPR is pretty consistent, and so on.

anyone suggesting that we dont need more servers is brain dead an clueless. plain and simple. some regions are down to just 1-2 servers. they need to add more servers back.

OP is dillusional. Raising max pop on each server will be a disaster. There isn’t enough content for more than 1200 or so on each server. And the lag, stability, problems with the servers at 2k is a mess too. Ags needs many new servers and to cap the pop at 1200. Then they need to introduce cross server opr, expeditions, and 3v3s to address the concern of wait times for those modes.

Yeah, this is madness. Why are we queuing for a game that has less than 25k global players. Honestly, if AGS dont think this is a problem they are delusional. I would imagine they have some level of privileged access to AWS. Come on.
You know what the worst part is…while you are waiting your system is almost under full load, in this day and age that bonkers.
