New World home screen won't load

• What is your character name in New World: The Craftsman
• What server/world did you experience your issue on: AP Southeast (dont remember the server name after merges)
• Describe the issue you are experiencing: After launching New World, the loading grey screen that says “New World” pops up and then it simply takes me to what looks like the front of a house in windsward. A loading screen from skyrim or some crap.
• Is this a bug? (If this is an exploit, please dm Aenwyn or Luxendra) Yes definitely a bug
• (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Can’t choose character or server/play the game
• (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Currently, no.

I am sorry to hear you seem to be having issues logging in to the game.

Please try the following steps in order to troubleshoot this:

1. Ensure your video drivers are up to date.
2. Set Windows power settings to High Performance.

• Press Windows + R, type “powercfg.cpl” into the Run window, and then press Enter.
• Select the radio button next to the High performance power plan. You may need to click Show additional plans first.

3. Adjust your in-game video settings. (sometimes just changing them back and forth will reset the issue)
4. Clean boot Windows by following these instructions:
   How to perform a clean boot in Windows (to reduce startup applications/Check for Malware).
5. Reset your video driver software to the default settings.
6. Check for evidence of overheating.
7. Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check
