Now that I have your attention, New World is changing and in my personal opinion it’s changing into the right direction to become a better game.
The changes might be drastical but it is what the game needed. I have been reading a lot in discord servers (PVE and PVP related), reddit and here on the forum, everyone is either raged about the changes or so happy about them.
I UNDERSTAND that you may have invested a lot of your time/gold in your gear and setup but it is an MMO, so what do you expect?
Many of the mechanics now introduced in the PTR are mechanics requested from the forum/players long time ago since beta. Now that they making some changes and your gear and setup is affect you start to not want the change?
In the end changes will come, meta will change rather us all like it or not. It is a game in the end and we all can chose to play it or not to play it.
Saying “whoever does not agree just leave” isnt a healthy way to engage with people. It just shows how biased and unwilling to see others perspectives you are. You should want to engage in conversation with people who have differing opinions than yourself, hopefully to gain some perspective. I think a lot of people are going to be upset by these changes, which isnt healthy for the game.
No, change is obviously needed. But the extent in which they are doing it is bad. No regular balance patches since release. No balance patch after the GS was implemented with the Brimstone update. Nobody at AGS cared about actually balancing combat. Now that the few people left in the game have somewhat BiS equipment they “balance” the heck out of the game. We asked for regular balancing too frickin many times. Now they throw all of it at us at once, and have the audacity to not even bring something new to make up for having to relearn the game. No new OPR maps, no new pvp mode, no new pve trials, no level increase.
We all wanted updates. But with a lot more regularity and with a lot more thought put into them. Not this “all at once, eat or die” s*it. My god how hard is to have some common sense?
