I second that, anyone insightful wanna enlighten me? The game is a lot older and peaking like crazy. What exactly happened? I think the combination of NW release dumpster fires and WoW lawsuit just shanked the MMO community and they reaped the benefits with having a greatly timed expansion release all at the same time. But idk.
Lost Ark will obviously take some players but the issue is not LA, it is NW’s gameplay. (I don’t play LA, looked it over and not the MMO for me)
It has been rehashed a lot. Now, will AGS listen? I have no idea. I like the world, the feel, etc., but a lot has to change and be added for me to even start considering a return. Mostly because I don’t think AGS devs know how to create a well rounded, balanced world (the balance issue also includes weapon/armor balancing). I don’t see them demonstrating proper, thoughtful changes. Furthermore, what most wanted was just fixes and QoL. The fact they ignored many simple changes and fixes to work on… ugh. Ugh ugh ugh.
At this point, what I want is for NW to be sold to a legitimate developer. It has so many key elements in place… just needs a team that can put it all together properly. Sorry AGS, that is how I see it at this point. A clear disconnect with players and a lot of rushed and ill thought through, panicky changes. AGS has done a number of proper moves and anyone with any sense knew that NW wasn’t going to support 500k+ per hour peak, but 100k+ was well within the possibilities. But nope.
I listed what happen in a different post in this thread.
FF has a huge following from an age old IP.
WoW was losing many players because of the Lawsuits and another poor expansion full of crap systems. Those players needed a new home.
People were asking Asmongold to try out FF. Asmongold finally caved and started playing FF. Millions of people watched his stream and bought the game because of it.
Other big streamers took note and followed the trend too. Previously it was unheard of for streamers to change games because of fear of losing their audience. Asmongold broke that trend.
FF14 took off the charts basically because of Asmongold. It had already a decent following but nothing like today. It is a good game so a lot of those players stuck.
This all happened before NW btw. Not just because of expansion.
I get what ur saying bro… your language just didn’t match, nor did the thought process.
No kid… language skills are important. I don’t know why you haven’t developed them yet. All I’m trying to do is educate you and hope you get better at it.
I only really have one complaint, and that is that there doesnt feel to me like there is any real end game content. I am 200 in all the merchant stuff except fishing (which I find painfully boring), and am 60 with most weapons 15 to 20. So I have done all the game has. Now…I cant seem to muster up the desire to do much other than chat to people.
I was really hoping for more.
