1800 hours, and you can believe it or not. I’ve spent more time farming the pit boss in shattered (It’s my primary ori spot) than probably anyone else i know.
And i’ve never once gotten the corrupted totem.
I’ve seen other people get it, with no luck even. And i’ve been down there with full luck, mid luck and no luck. No dice.
Some of those could probably be tuned up a little i think. Just my observation.
Chopping trees and playing the TP prices may be legit ways of making money, but it feels weak and unrewarding to just buy BIS or trophies. In that case then just RMT some gold and pay to win.
It would be nice to earn them as a performance reward from actually playing the game. Top items should be a reward for and measure of skill and performance. Not hey, ‘look what i bought!’
The level of RNG sucks. This game is legit a slot machine.
i agree with some of what you’re saying, but you can play a different slot machine aka you can hunt for squirming vines or run mutator dungeons to find good pieces to sell them to make money etc etc.
the trophy mat slot machine just happens to be rough odds, which again, my personal opinion is fine, most crafters are funded by companies, which is how these slot machines get such a big pay out in the first place
By all means, please let us know how you can make 40k in 4 hours on a daily basis…
Give luck more weight to it, or add more sources for drops of those items.
For example,
- Major Corrupted Trophy now Drops on ALL SUB-BOSS MOBS in SM (limited by lvl 60+)
- Major Lost Trophy now drops from all SUB-BOSS named mobs in Reekwater in Forecastle Drift (limited by lvl 60+)
- Major Angry Earth Trophy now drops from all SUB-BOSS mobs in Edengrove (limited by lvl 60+)
For Luck Trophy mats, if the player already earned a specific trophy mat 3x, that trophy mat would then roll lower than the others. So if I get a Notes of Fauna and Flora in Aeternum trophy mat, it will roll significantly lower than it’s Legendary counterpart. This should alleviate duplicates and allow players a chance to receive what they’re farming for.
You can also allow the trophy mats for luck to drop from Treasure Chests in Fishing, so as to have at least some use to it.
Turn it up by a lot, and add a pity system.

A reasonable system would be that dungeon materia plus azoth can be used to craft the trophy mat.
So you might be lucky and get the drop from the Pit Lord, or you can farm tempest 10 or 20 times to get enough materia to craft the trophy mats (but it would be BoP).
But the current drop rate plus exorbitant pricing of trophies is a killer.

Your System is so ground broken that its more valuable to farm 50 hours green wood sell it and buy these absolutly overvalued legendary trophy mats then actually farm them because the chance is so low to get them. Both systems, chest running and farming till hell freezes, are the most boring content ive ever seen in a game so far and they are both your core end game mechanics ![]()
This would still be governed by luck but with the many chances/sources of obtaining these items, it should be significantly easier.
Furthermore, having luck trophies drop from fishing chests will give more bonuses to fishermen in general. You can even decrease the chance of obtaining treasure chests, or put a floor-luck limit so that bots will not farm it. What I mean by that, is players would need to have 3x Legendary Fishing Gathering Trophies to even get a chance to fish a treasure chest.

Yep, I bought a 10k int bb with attunement and the exhausting perk, + keen and sold it for 40k could’ve easily went for 60k imo

health + div aren’t selling as much anymore since you can roll it apparently? Idk I’m just repeating what my crafter buddy told me. I usually just go for weapons but I haven’t tried it recently
Bcs ur putting it at 75k it’s a 2 perk which u can get for20-30k
