New World is Pay to Win

Bow man here ,i spent max 200k in my build and i am.kiling pol whu spent 500k× on build ;D

yes, and if you fight someone who spent 3 million you will lose, unless they literally have three fingers

and if you are talking pure output and not a duel, a bow player with full stacked rfe or shirking fort is playing a whole different game than you with either 30% more mitigation or casting 30% more abilities than you

all mmo games are listed on G2G and you can’t really prove anything about it so just let it go

A noob can kill a pro if the noob have 5 stack of Elusive Fortification + spear fortification perk, even in light.

Do you have a link to that? I’m checking right now but beside the 3 jewelery the others rewards seems kinda meh to me (0 resilient perk for example). Unless I’m looking at the wrong page…

That gear is only like 10% better than a gear worth 50 000 coins. Are those 10% worth it? Not for me. I am perfectly fine with 2 good perks on my gear items. But crafting needs to change for this game to survive.

I agree. I comb the TP every day for a three perk legendary piece of gear that also has the same 2 perks on my current “Epic” gear which we know a full 2 perk Epic gear build can be just as effective if not better than a mix of 3 perk Legendary + 2 perk Epic gear build. All depends on the perks and build.

I can’t complain about my gear, it’s very solid for 2 perks from Head to Feet. Although, my FS/IG are legendary and jewelry x2 Legendary w/ x1 Epic quality and all are 625GS.

And I agree, crafting needs to be improved 100%. What’s the point of crafting Legendary items with 0.1% > 1.0% chance at BiS when you can have 2-perk Epic quality BiS pieces which are more abundant from crafting since you can pretty much “force” two perks that you want. Crafters are sinking gold cap into crafting with little to no results of items they’ve hoped for but make a profit off of Epic “BiS” perks more often than not.

Im on Maramma and can show ya the opposite.

Is 5 extra perks in your gear it does can make a difference when you face a skill players vs skill player even more now with new perks that are coming out for pvp

I guess I haven’t paid much attention to gold sellers, but last time I saw them advertising in game, their rate was $1 per 1000 gold. So, 3m gold would cost $3k. Please for the love of god tell me that people aren’t paying that.

24 to 30 cents per 1000 “blight seeds.” @Strakeln

I’ve got a funny story to share about this.

In a company discord that had pushed ef/ww on the same day on Camelot, they were all discussing gear upgrades and market availability for some bis they still needed.

They had all just spend $200+ on rmt coins to try and beat out Dawnguard.

Idk if they thought it through though, they likely bought those coins from DG in the first place without knowing it!

I think the crafting rng actually just makes ppl quit, not spend rl money.

nope, they actually spent real money

This whole thread just serves to underscore my assertion that New World is a libertarian economics simulator, and it brings me endless joy to see that aspect of it implode so constantly.

I’m currently really enjoying that AGS decided to brick my 3m+ bis medium healer set as well.

Ty AGS great job.

Reading posts like this about things getting worse and AGS learning nothing about their failures makes me even more happier I quit the game, even if I Didn’t got a refund.

It has to be better than it is now. 7months the game has been out. 7months I’ve played. 7months later and the only BiS gear I have is the shit I paid hundreds of K on the market for and it’s not fully BiS.

So… you’d figure… I should have SOMETHING worth a shit after 7 months. I’ve played every single day. Hours a day.

the RNG is busted AF and not a single one of you can argue this point with any hope of success.

I love crafting perks that have one great perk, and then the second perk is a benefit for gathering LOL

I’m like okay so I can battle and gather at the same time! FAIL lol

You’re speaking of cheating, not P2W. P2W comes in when a dev supplies a service in the in-game store that gives a benefit to players who spend irl money for said in-game services. Good job on the click bait though, and getting yourself to up to the top recommended discussions.

While your argument about crafting is valid, your statement of the game being P2W is not. You’re stating that is impossible, or nearly so, to have enough funds to craft the gear sought after without cheating (aka RMT w/ gold farmers).
