Like I said before, I have a few three-perkers; about half and half. So I get where you’re coming from. It all adds up. Sometimes, though, when you have a two-perker, you need to prioritize your perks is all.
It’s 1 bil for BiU.
Best in universe.
be best ![]()
yes i completely agree but I am more talking about this in conjunction to the primary way people get the gold to get to that advantage as well ![]()
like if you take two equally skilled players and you have one in full bis and the other is in two perks the bis player will win 75% of the time, put that bis player against someone on a 200k budget and you’re talking a larger gap, but even if you disagree, the point I am really trying to make is that RMT being the driving force between these differences is really a disincentive to new players unless they make two perks the baseline
gonna be even worse in arena
Yeah, I get it. It’s pretty crazy what it costs to achieve full BIS. I craft my own stuff and go through a ton of money making garbage to try to get what I need.
Fully agree.
I also want to add that there is a snowball effect to that: once you can win 75% of the time, and your core team is like that, you get to own EF/WW, generate gold (from other players, who actually work for you through taxes), buy more BiS gear, win more, and so on…
There is something to be said about the gold though man. There is some serious wealth inequality. A territory gets handed over to a company after the loss of an invasion and boom all a sudden your taxes are completely out of control. Then said company milks all the residents of that town as much as possible until their bank roll is big and fat, buys all BIS, and dumps on all the residents of the settlement.
imagine starting right now, I got my weaponsmithing set back in november, and I think ive probably crafted enough axes to buy an island, maybe 5 of them were 3 perks
Shirking fort with light armor idk if I’d call that an outplay as much as op compared to what heavy statues can do.
I agree with you though on the rest. Rolly polly meta doesnt feel like outplay to me atm as much as its overpowered and it is easy to win with build viability imbalance and how op rolling to get out of danger is along with how spammable it is.
lol no doubt… also been at it since day 1
I think another thing to remember too is they continue to add new perks, so even players like us are affected by this and our gear slowly cycles off meta because any new perk (eg shirk) can cause you to reroll
As stated previously, you only need resil + perk to be competitive. If you’re saying you need absolute BIS to be competitive then you’re letting your gear carry you and not your skill. Get good. Might not sound constructive but honestly, your gear can only carry you so far.
I do agree that the crafting system in New World is overly complicated and gated by massive gold dumps (trophy/gear/town perks). I’d implement the following:
- Fully geared/trophied crafting be a guaranteed 600 instead of 595-600 and everything else 590-600.
- Reduce crafting material costs.
- REMOVE useless stat combinations i.e. int/str.
- Focus / Dex
- Dex / Int
- Int / Str
- Str / Focus
…
fingers > money
that is all.
Yep. I’ve had to level up so many sets due to the changes every patch.
I am not saying two perks isn’t decent, but if you are saying that there isn’t a visible difference between three perks and two perks you are being dishonest. I like that there is a difference, I don’t like that it is only achievable by governors or g2g for the average player, and I am not claiming two perks cannot compete with three, but it is a very visible difference.
Or just farm for gold and run dungeons.
You’d be surprised at what people use. These strange combinations are often utilized, even if by a small minority. I don’t think they should get rid of them. Not everyone wants pure stats.
Like I said in my post, I am geared, I have gear, I even mentioned named drops being a good thing for the game, but you cannot fully gear off of named drops reliably.
And the amount of time and resources needed to even do that (especially as a new player) is completely insane.
