RMT problem does not make game p2w or not its offical illegal and bannable. Secondly RMT is a problem almost in every game, I am only suprised how stupid people are if they spend that amounts of money ( WHALES?) on pixels ( things which in reality you sint have) and taking risk to be banned and lose everything. Also if someone sont have time to play games, why he spends anything on it ? To play 2-3 hours weekly it does not have any sense to me… esp. For New World. Lets be honest there are better games.

There is RMT that isn’t aggressively attacked and players selling content which is linked to RMT. People are buying there way out of the only content there is. It is the same thing to allow this as to sell it in the shop. RMT is probably the biggest immersion killer a game can have, followed by microtransactions.

OP is extremely wrong, anything that matters in this game can be purchased RMT. Expertise grind is the easiest part of the whole process and even that can be bought. I could give my nephew 10 bucks and a can of soda and he’d happily run around opening chests all day long.
Also OP should be banned from the forums for a few days for the idiotic suggestion that anyone that disagrees with their post should be banned from the game. That’s not how forums work.

How does having 5+ extra resilient/shirking fort/freedom/cdr/weapon perks etc. not get them power? If you have enough resil and sf you can just spam dodge key and potions and survive in a clump. You can definitely pad a skill gap with superior 3 perk gear… we aren’t talking about some tiny fraction of a % difference in damage and mitigation. Every perk is significant.

Ok, first of all… the game is pay to win just not in the sense of buying gold from the trade menus like some gatcha mobile game… you can legit buy gold cap and buy out markets… idk think some people do mental gymnastics… people do sell accounts btw… my friend made over 1k for his account…
What do we call it buy gold “illegally” to buy gear that receives no ban ? That otherwise couldn’t afford that gives a competitive edge over others?

I know I am jumping into a den of wolves replying in this topic and I’ll come out bitten but here goes nothing I guess.
New World isn’t pay to win. The fact that external factors created a sub system that involves payment doen’t make it so. That’s why any transaction with RMT is ilegal. A free park that have thugs asking for money fees to enter doesn’t make it private, that’s why you can call the police and those guys be fined.
WoW have a Token and shop boosts, thats P2W in my book. Now, we can discuss here “it’s pay to fast not win blablabla” but the result stay the same: one person can pay real money IN THE GAME SHOP to surpass or have direct advantage on other person that has only invested gaming hours.

Does spending money gives one a competitive edge over someone else in New World? Yes! Do many of the buyers of RMT get their accounts taken from them? No! Ok case close this game is P2W. More so when AGS indirectly punish the people more for not using these RMT services. Expertise, Gypsum, town boards nerfs, trading exp nerfs, so on so on.
If you are just coming into the game now. You will either have to spend money on RMT sites or spend over thousand hours to farm the gold to get the gear to be a factor in PvP. Through the Devs indirectly buffing RMT services and not punishing people for using these services enough. New World is P2W, end of story!
