New World is Too Much Work

Yeah, I want the game to be stripped of things I don’t like. You’re absolutely right.

Guess what, man? THAT’S THE POINT OF THE “GAME FEEDBACK” SECTION OF THIS FORUM THAT THIS THREAD IS POSTED IN. THAT’S THE REASON I POSTED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. This section isn’t for blowing smoke up the developers’ backsides; it’s to give feedback about things we aren’t happy about and would like to see changed. Welcome to the party.

I mean, no offence man It totally is the place for feedback, but…your game vision would basically make this another WoW…

Well, and a ton of other people want the game to keep the same exact features because they like those. So I guess we can keep arguing.

That’s why game devs look at feedback, figure out why the user is having a negative experience, and then create changes that don’t alienate the majority of the fanbase while staying true to the game’s fundamental tenets. Pretty standard stuff for a feedback forum.

The only thing i’m advocating for is to improve the quests. I’m not advocating to turn this game very carefully. Endgamers, do you not realize at least half of this thread is against you in leaving quests as is.

Actually, a lot of people have left WoW over the past year, in case you hadn’t noticed. Me included.

Nobody’s asking this to be another WoW. I’m saying that right now, the PVE questing and in-game travel situation is worse than WoW ever was.

Or, you can make your own thread in the Game Feedback forum here with your own game feedback, about how you love it the way it is.

Not sure you’ve noticed, but a lot of people posting here (or liking the initial post) agree with at least some of what I’ve said. But whatever. I’ve posted my game feedback, as I’m perfectly welcome to do as a player. Y’all are keeping this at the top of the Game Feedback section, though, so I guess I should thank you.

@camerynmaru @Corwan please be civil and no name calling, get back on topic before this thread gets closed by the community manager

I’ve not been uncivil, but some posters here keep attacking me just because they don’t like my opinions (i.e. “the game’s not for me, too much to read, go back to WoW, you’re a Karen,” etc.)

I posted a very thoughtful opinion piece, one that took me a while to write, in the Game Feedback section of this forum, to provide actual game feedback. Agree with me, don’t agree, agree with one tiny thing and think the rest is nonsense… it’s fine. I stand by every comment I made in my original post, because it’s my opinion about the state of this game that I paid for just like everyone else, and I’d love the game developers to give it consideration, ESPECIALLY about the PVE questing and travel-related issues. I think the PVE situation in New World could really stand some major scrutiny.

Yep, thats how i feel OP had some good points but as a whole this game has amazing potential. Also running long distances is just a thing in MMOs god you think this game has it bad? Have you played LOTRO? My biggest issue rn is i feel bottle necked by some resources(mainly iron).

Ignore them and just help Amazon improve the player experience.

yeah I agree but my point was that people need to stop complain about things that aren’t what the game is just because they want it to be what they want i mean that is just selfish and that kind of behavior lead to destroy the very thing that the game is and if they don’t like the way it is yeah i think they should just move on to an other game and let people enjoy it for wahat it is

This game was not ready for release. It needed another year in the cooker.

I agree with you on almost everything. Especially the travels and the PVE. I mean, I currently don’t have as much free time to play as I’d like (And just for let it clear, I’ve bought the game, and I want to play it.), And having to spend half of my time just walking from A to B and then back to A, or spend all my azoth is pretty daunting…

Anyway, I don’t understand how to reduce the time of the inn, reduce the azoth necessary to travel, or being able to do it from anywhere “ruins the immersion of the game for everyone”. Anyone can still do whatever they want lol.

Thank you for adding your feedback

You’ve named quite a lot of QOL issues that this game has. I really wonder exactly how many of these problems were purposely baked into the game so they could sell you a solution. Which is 100% coming in 2022, per the devs.

I don’t blame them though…they dont charge a sub and have to make money somehow but it still ends up being toxic for the genre/playerbase to design poor systems intentionally … in order to sell fixes.

If Amazon wants to have the game to have longevity, they need to fix and improve these issues before moving on to launching new zones.

It doesn’t ruin anything. In fact it will pick up the pace of the game after all the PVE fetch quests crossing zone boundaries. You’re absolutely right that the people upset over that suggestion won’t be impacted in the slightest.

Personally, I love running from land to land doing things from corrupted portal to gathering and everything else, I think that Amazon did a FABULOUS job at creating New World, it’s a fantastic game, I gather all the time while I am doing quests and Everything, it’s fun and also, the end game quests near the end of the storyline require certain crafting goods that can only be crafted, not bought, so if you cannot handle gathering and farming, than you should not be playing this game. Gathering and upgrading professions and Everything goes hand in hand with leveling and the game in general.

But for the sake of mounts, I did run from everfall to a territory higher up on the map yesterday and it took me an hour, I don’t like having to spend a hour of my day when I work a full time job getting from point A to point B, I work a job, I don’t have free time to play games 15 hours a day so me being able to get from point A to B quickly is important to me.
