New World kept crashing on me

I am sorry to know that your game is crashing after the latest update. Please try following steps-

  1. Ensure that GPU Drivers are updated.

  2. Run System File Check: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.

  3. Run a Steam Integrity Check for New World.

  4. Repair or install C++ redistributable (game uses 2015-2017 C++ files, found here: The latest supported Visual C++ downloads). It’s important that players either download the x86 or x64 file version, depending on their specific version of Windows.

  5. Use the Event Viewer to review Event Logs to determine the cause of the application crash.

If none of the troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, and if the error persists kindly contact our live support so that a ticket can be raised for investigation.

Please pull the following logs and a DxDiag report.

  • At minimum, provide the most recent log, but preferably provide 3 logs from: Users<username>\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\LogBackups
  • If applicable, provide a single log file from: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\
  • DxDiag report:
    • Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
    • Click on dxdiag.exe.
    • When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.

Tip: If AppData is set as a hidden folder, kindly enable hidden folders to see the logs.
