I’m sorry that New World is not launching. For this we can try some troubleshooting steps.
Make sure that Steam and New World are completely closed from the task manager and then perform a Steam file verification!

• From a game’s library page, select Manage > Properties.
  Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files… button.

If the Steam Integrity check comes back with no errors or corrupted files found, let’s try this:
1- Press Win key + R
2- Type %appdata%
3- Go to AppData > Roaming > AGS > New World
4- Delete the Savedata folder and the user_preload_settings.cfg file.
5- Reboot the PC and you’ll see that the files deleted would be recreated.
Try to launch the game one more time.

Also, there is a workaround that I found on another post in case that these steps are not working.

1. Close game and steam completely
2. Go to New World installation directory
3. Right click and run as Administrator “NewWorldLauncher.exe”
4. While game opening it’ll say you should open your steam
5. Click OK and close game
6. Open steam and start your game as normally

This should fix the issue. However if the problem persists don’t hesitate to contact back to find a fix for your particular issue and please let me know what other steps you have tried.
