UE5 is brutal bro on sub sections now many devs can work in 1 sub section on UE4 its locked only 1 can work in 1 sub its possible bro not weeks but mabye few months they surely have the money and resources to make it and i think 100% of players thats left would love it for future right

What version of the game are you playing where they’ve gave you the opinion that’s they’re confident and capable enough to swap engines and tune it properly when they can’t even do a weekly patch and the bug list is 30 pages long. Which universe?
Lol this kid has no idea how contractual agreements work. They are probably signed into using lumber Jack exclusively, and its not like this is in unreal Engine 4 and they would have to redesign everything from the ground up, even the back end. Trust me I’m sure they want to be on UE5 it’s just not feasible, they’ve already sunk hundreds of millions into this game and it’s no where near finished or polished simple QoL things have still not been implemented.
There’s 0 chance they’d covert the game over to ue5 that’s a pipe dream my friend.

Go and look at the official dev post in the bug section and you’ll see why it’s more then a dream. You can quite literally scroll the list of bugs for real world minutes.
The only way to fix this game is an expansion or literally starting over. 60k people concurrent is not bad but it could have been so much more and it’ssad they are content with how this are going. They lost over 90% of the player base abs still won’t listen to what the majority begs for or give answers on specific major mechanics of the game there’s been a loot luck post for over a month now, they told a CM to promise us answers but that was weeks ago… I personally don’t log on anymore, I have the urge to but then I think what an I going to do… some OPR kill the same shit mobs again… run some expedition… none of that feels fun at the moment so I usually decide against it

it just shows the state of this game and now posts are being flagged and hidden if you even mention another game on the forums …i rather play those games because they are by far better then this game. New world literally feels soulless , and then the cover up of players leaving and on top of that you want to silence people saying anything remotely close to criticism , the censorship here is really nice…they are working real hard to shut people up …they should focus more on creating a reason to keep people around, instead of worrying about people “advertising” other games or meansie words on the forums…btw people have been asking for clarification on loot luck for months in another thread …you know that core game mechanic that is absolute dog water.
i wont put another minute into this shit game, besides watching is die a slow painful death while playing a REAL and READY AAA title game.

- Yes it is possible to switch to UE5
- It would not be realistic because you would have to rewrite way too much code
- UE5 want %age of the profit so earnings for AGS would be lower.

I feel like it’s kind of like flashing BIOS if they don’t completely recreate it. You use your old BIOS to run the new BIOS but you’re still on the old BIOS technically.

Hire an entirely separate development team and when they come out with an expansion if the game lives long enough to get one, do an entire overhaul and import the new UE5 engine into the game and add the expansion at the same time.
